  1. School is just getting so sickening. I can't just wait to be done for good. One more semester.
  2. Sundays are so boring......maybe I should do some homework........
  3. I can say i am a bit jealous. She must be a keeper....
  4. BIRTHDAY!
  5. HAPPY!
  6. Simply replacing the burnt up transistors may not be the fix. You could easily replace them with identical parts and turn the amp back on and fry the chit out of your new transistors. They probably burnt up for a reason. Biasing resistors could be fried and just start saturation your transitors with current. I'm with JohnE, pay someone to fix it.
  7. That's what I was trying to get at. And a waste of money.
  8. Why don't you just get Home audio stuff? for the sub http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=300-810 and you could easily find a stereo or 5.1 amp with just as much power for much cheaper. The whole idea isn't really practical. A high current power supply is expensive, as are batteries. You'd be better off buying a bunch of nice HT equipment. http://cgi.ebay.com/Harman-Kardon-HK-AVR-1...2|39:1|240:1318 Between the Harman Kardon and the Dayton rack amp, you are still cheaper than the Pyramid power supply and you don't even need to buy amps or batteries. The shop I work at uses a 120V to 12V converter and about 3 yellow tops to run our board, and even then, running full tilt, the converter has a hard time. You can still get deep loud bass without using car stuff.
  9. Try and find an old Brahma or XXX. Both of those would be suitable.
  10. Yes. It uses a op-amp IC as the output device.
  11. Double Thread. It gave me an error the first time. Please Delete
  12. Well as soon as it powers up, it starts to oscillate on one frequency whether or not there is an instrument plugged into it or not. And it doesn't change when the instrument is played. Pretty simple set-up. Uses a simple linear power supply and an op amp as an output device. Could it be a bad input R? I had a similar thing happen with another amp when an input R was broken. Any other thoughts?
  13. Definitely not the alarm, unless something internally fudgeed up and just started draining loads of current which i find hard to believe. There could be hundreds of shorts throughout a car so it could be hard to pinpoint a location. I was going to say bad alternator but as you stated, it was already checked.
  14. Well in the case that the hifonics works fine, it's definitely the amp. Just because nothing looks burnt doesn't mean anything. There's lots of things that could have gone wrong.
  15. Looking good....but where's the other pages?

So did the server just blow up and Josh finally just said screw it and threw it all in the trash compactor? Funny thing is, I talk to him all the time and we never talk about what happened to the server. LOL Ok, what is the eBoner now-a-days? Todd, is it snowing there yet? Yes and No. I was in Duluth this past weekend and it snowed a bit there and came home and nothing. Now its raining, and probably going to snow or just ice over. I like it here in MN but i envy the warm weather you are probably enjoying.

  22. Hey, now there's a thought. Two tens rear firing and an 18" firing up. I might just have to take you up on that. I wouldn't have A PR up-firing because they tend to have a good deal of weight to them and would most likely cause the suspension to sag. My 1050g PRs sag is i even lay them on their back. Also in a car, I would think the PRs would have a lot of unwanted movement from the forces from turning and bumps in the road. Just my 2 cents
  23. Personally, I have had experience with Kenwood, Alpine and Clarion Toush screens, slip ups and in dash and I like the Alpines the best. A little spendy. I'd spend the extra money and go with a Kenwood Excelon if you can. They aren't as expensive as the Alpines (unless you guy a more expensive Kenwood), but they work well and have a good deal of features.
  24. thanks man.... SKATEBOARDERS REPRESENT!!!!! Im gonna post more..... I have a tun of skate photos..... I kinda slowed down on skateboarding, but I love my friends, and skateboarding, so I took up skateboard photography... thanks again man For sure. I've been off the board for about a month.
