  1. DAMN! those are a little spends...lol 360 in mids alone.... as i always say, i can't wait to see a build log...but with this one..i am more than excited
  2. yeah those tweets look like they will work good with just about any of the speakers mentioned above... how much are the nextels though? i am not sure that i was looking at the right ones... ps i know......lol
  3. that's too bad , just as soon as i start reading
  4. looks like the guy has done lots of work...you are probably safe with him...
  5. 800 watts on the MT...LOL HAHAHAHAHA sorry i had to say something...but that might be a box too small for a high Qts driver...but i'll agree on the 18" in home...i kind of want to do the same with my brahma and run it IB(might be a huge enclosure)... replace the dahlquist sub and get the brahma on it's own power....i don't watch many movies on the home set up...just music but when did you get an XJ-15? i never remember seeing that....lol just the santa fe...how is that acoustic visions sub anyways? i wanted to pick one of those up but never had the money(what else is new) did you just do a big ported box or run it IB?
  6. i had a similar problem with my brahma...it was a scratchy squeek...lol if that makes sense...my problem was a glue failure at the triple joint...mine wasn't bad so i was able to repair it... you could have a similar problem or it could be tinsel slap...i've seen a lot of high excusion subwoofers ues the felt pads...maybe if you have tinsel slap, you could put those on...or like flakko said...turn the gains down a bit and resist your urge to bump
  7. i wish i had some input on these speakers, but never used them.... but just out of curiosity, what are you using as your active Eq? and what will you use as a crossover point for either or both the combinations? but i just took a look at the products mentions above...i'll agree with ///M5.....that tweeter looks like it would work great...i has a low Fs so it would be easy to cross over at a low frequency i have never really messed around with active but would like to...///M5, what would you suggest as a crossover point for the Ls with the Peerless HDS tweeter...just a starting point...because i know there is allways tweaking that goies into an active set-up
  8. that's a great price...the local shop here would probably charge more than that without carpet... just watch out let's see a build log when you start putting it all together
  9. wait what? i thought you were going to the the Brahma 18 in vehicle....did you keep the MT or are you eliminating your 18" in vehicle subwoofer?
  10. Type X's CAN get loud but as stated before they are more SQ oriented..... as for the AudioPulse...probably great stuff, but what SEC is looking for...going to be way out of his pricerange...
  11. agreed...easy project and saves you $40+ an hour labor
  12. oh...i get it...i have problems picking up sarcasm in text and the driver we speak of is called the jackhammer..and it will handle 30K watts if you could find an amp capable lol
  13. i would probably go ported then...probably like 2 cut ft. tuned to 30hz would be good based on the available specs...
  14. xbl^2 is a motor technology...not a coil technology...xbl^2 is split gap... maybe you are thinking about the split coil or LMT coil for more information please visit http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...ic=9421&hl= lol
  15. depends what you want...are you interested at being loud, or have it just sound good? or both?
  16. lol what a bastard...
  17. the Bls are pretty damn loud...and they sound decent...as for power, you can feed them a fair amount of power and not have worries...but i don't think you will need 2000 watts to get full potential out of it...i'd say 1200 to 1500 would be good...my buddy has an 18" BL and that pucker POUNDS with a jbl 1200....but those amps were underrated too
  18. wow that's almost as dirty as your mother...lol so are you going to do the re-cone yourself or have RE do it?....damn i miss when RE was more like Fi...when i could buy 2 12" SEs for 250 bucks
  19. i like the audi....but that Mustang is UGLY AS chit
  20. So as a trumpeter who are your favorite artists? i would also like to know
  21. you have me more than beat...you are starting with components! i had stock fronts and chitty 6x9s...lol i'd say you are off to more than a good start...especially with the yellowtop, that will leave a good amount of room for upgrading, but i am not really sure about the eclipse? i have never heard one or heard of one...let us know how it is
  22. yeah get rid of the rainbow lol but props to you on making a living playing music...that is awesome...do you play with a band or solo or what? i'd be more than interested to hear some of your music seeing that it's probably jazz(your username is a dead give away...lol)
  23. well if you don't car about sounding good, then forget running active then and get a cheap passive set, turn the bass way down and the treble way up and crank your gains! i love it when people do that LOL!!
  24. lol...what else is sitting in there...do you want a TC-1000 to add to your closet collection...lol
  25. sweet...maybe i'll just get a new cone...lol but i want to takt the easy route, so i'll probably get a blank dustcap and draw on it with crayons...lol only joking...i'll use paint markers
