  1. Lol I wish, probably more than the 50th, with a kid on the way money will be strapped for awhile. But I am so excited and can't wait for this kid to be born. I AM A have a baby boy and teach it everything about car audio lol.
  2. Yes me too!!! And you know that aswell haha. Oh, ordered my recone yesterday, ftw!!! Should get it soon box build hopefully starting next week, depending on how much I get paid this week.
  3. Right on I feel ya. I was thinkin bout goin back to get some more added to mine, I don't really like "shopping around" when I don't really know anyone that does it, unless I went to a shop. And for me to go to a shop to get more work added on to someone elses existing work is kinda direspectful imo, plus itd cost me 60 bucks to get it added probably lol. He seemed like a decent dude all in all, then again I don't truly know him. I will probably give him a call to do a little more to mine, then shop around for the next one, maybe go back to billy probably not idk we will see...
  4. So you weren't feelin kenny too much?
  5. Gonna try and get more added to my tattoo here soon. Make it look like it is stitched into my arm like a patch kinda.
  6. Well I took mine in yesterday and they said today that they can't screen print on the hoodies we picked out... So either I go get new hoodies or I go have airbrushing done. Will look into both by this weekend.
  7. Lol I've been lookin for some updates on here for a couple days now lol.
  8. Right on I appreciate it, should save me some money as well. FTW!!! When I get the recone and everything i will post pics and all that jazz, along with my upcoming build log. Next week i am starting 2 boxes one for my ns and one for 2 12" skar vx12's, (I think thats the model number).
  9. ok so where do i get the loctite or epoxy then? local hardware store or do i need to ore=der it from somewhere?
  10. So do I use the activator on the surround as well? Thanks.
  11. See I thought that too, I just want some clarification before I ruin a $100 recone by not knowing exactly how it is going to go down. I'm the type of person that will research something for a month before I actually go and do it or buy a product. Thanks.
  12. Ok well I am going to be reconing my first sub in the next week or so (sundown nightshade v.1 stock coil with extra spider), I know I need to buy ca glue(from fix my speaker) but which ca glue do I need to buy? And I was just reading on ca.com about how to recone, it gave a step by step of how to recone the spider, first put the glue on the spider landing then apply the spider move it around a little to get a good contact then spray the activator on, but not too much because it will discolor and such. But my question is how do I glue the surround to the basket? It never said anything about the activator or anything. So do I just use the glue? Or do I repeat the steps for the spider? This is my first recone, and I know I could send it in to jacob or chris or anyone else, but I would like to learn how to do this myself. So I can understand how it is done and be able to save myself money when I want to do more recones in the future. Thanks, Mikey.
  13. That's like 48 12's lol. Pretty intense.
  14. The whole ssa site usually come up weird on my bb bold. Sometimes things don't load, or the little arrow deal in the top right that let's me access me messenger or active content doesn't show up sometimes.
  15. IAK FTW!!!!!!
  16. What they are trying to say is you go for both applications, daily and spl are 2 totally different things, if you want a good daily setup that has the potential to get loud on a mic then you might want to look into the sundown nightshade v.1 or the v.2. But if you want a v.1 then you will have to buy a used one somewhere. Also want to look at the ssa xcons which have great sound quality (not sure if you are looking for that) and have a great potential to get loud off the right power in a solid box. Everything is install dependent, electrical, box, amp, etc etc blah blah. Think about you're goals again and save up for that, also might want to think about you're front stage aswell, you will need something that's going to keep up with 2 15's on 3500 watts. P.S. I know some people may come off as dicks on here but they are really just trying to help you, you need to be able to post correctly. Grammer, spelling etc. Alson don't ask dumb questions like what sub should I get. You don't want other peoples goals you want you're own, may ask what subs would suit you're needs but not what is better.
  17. Meant led on the bass know.
  18. You can unplug the led on the inside. I did it to mine. Way to bright for me, but I also have a pioneer avhp5000dvd, which is pretty bright even with the brightness toned down. Lol
