incriminator audio scion xb build, 2 18" judges on an NS1
There is another option to run active. A capable hu such as the clarion 702 or the pioneer 80-prs. IMO I prefer the hu ONLY for the fact you don't need a laptop to change settings. Keep in mind they are not as customizable as a mini dsp, but will do the job very well.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I only made it 3yrs before it was either split or make it on the news...

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
My personal favorite inexpensive in ears are the klipsch s3 and the shure 215. Niether are really bass heavy like a skull candy. Both are amazingly neutral sounding and loud as hell WITHOUT distorting. Just my .02

Most of my favorite metal bands are from Sweden.

Metering Your System
Not the point. Is it a daily setup, or spl only. If it's a daily why bother, make it sound good to you who cares how loud it is. If it's spl oriented, then it would be worth spending money on.

Two State Titles for DSS
Sounds like DSS world domination is coming!!!

SQ Demo Songs
I typically use almost any song by Dead Can Dance, or Animals as Leaders. Their first album is bass heavy so I use later releases.

help deciding
First off, what enclosure do you have now? Instead of spending unnecessary money you may be able to fix the current install.

Need some amp advise
Taramps are a great product IMO. I have the 3k hd. But if you can save money going with a second bc, I would go with that. No reason to scrap everything.

Power rating
Worst part is they copy dc audio. Then they ship it overseas? Kinda regretting my ethos now...

Ethos 10's physical dimensions
Q will chime in at some point, but if I remember correctly he's waiting on klippel results. After they come in all the ts specs and dimensions should be on the website.

Myth #1. Subwoofer size has ABSOLUTLY no effect on "speed." A 15" sub will play the same as a 10" or 12" even 18". An improperly designed enclosure is to blame for double bass drums muddling together. Having said that, if you have space restrictions, a 12" would probably be a safer bet. Have you measured what fits? Or at least what space you're willing to give up?

New Car, New Setup
Long story short, it makes the hu run active. You will no longer need the crossovers that came with the comps. There's a switch on the bottom of the hu you need to flip, then lower the face plate and press the reset button. When you enter the audio menu it will have network mode controls. DO NOT do this if you don't plan to run active or haven't ditched the crossovers and re-wired the comps to their own channels on the amp. It takes a long time to adjust everything, but the rewards are amazing! Oh btw you lose rears because the pre outs change. The front becomes hpf for the tweets. The rear becomes band pass for the mid, and sub remains basically the same other than some added control.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
You just blew up one piece of shit, why trade it for another? Did they fix the head gasket problem on the newer models? I know it used to be an extremely common problem.

trading my truck for a buick roadmaster!
Assuming you have a 4 cylinder. If you have any mechanical skill you could do it yourself. There's 2 bolts that hold the power steering pump, take it off then 2 more bolts to get the alt off. Just make sure to unhook the battery. Extremely easy on that car.

Taramps price vs reliability
Less than 18" of wire. That short, and it will hang. I had this same convo with shizzon before I bought my Taramps 3k. It only has 8 ga. inputs.

Taramps price vs reliability
Hell no it's not. Its a different technology than the Koreans most of us are used to. These beasts are FULLY capable of the power they claim.

Ya just a daily tune. I thought the same thing thing about tuning that high. He wants what they want so...

They are external. 3/4 mdf. I did forget to add in for double baffle. I just went to the DD website and looked up the "DD box." They only say for 1 15" it should be 3 cuft with 48"^2 port 20" long. So I just tried to stick to that. The box should be 3.6 ish and then .5 subtracted for port displacement. And another .16 for sub. I had to guess sub displacement because I couldn't find an actual number. Figured that would be somewhat close.

Verification
This is my first go at trying to design a ported box so just want to make sure I got the numbers right. This is for a coworker. The sub is a DD 9515. According to their site it should be 3 cu with 48"^2 of port. Here's what I came up with: 24" x 22" x 15" and the port 3 9/16" x 13 1/2". If I follow the "rules" and make it 20" long it'll be 38ish tune. I appreciate any input you can give. 15" height is to keep it under the window line and cannot be modified. Other than that any suggestions welcome!

New Car, New Setup
Ya, cut for cut. The bl is in use in my little brother's tc. He couldn't be happier. I upgraded to 2 12" ethos recently. Not because I didn't enjoy the fi tho. Just trying new setups.

New Car, New Setup
The pre designed enclosures Fi lists are an "all around" design. Competing or going for the low lows may require a change up. As a former owner of a 12" bl I can say it will do pretty much any thing you ask of it without much trouble. I have a similar taste in music, emphasis on metal, I think double bass kicks from bands like meshuggah or after the burial etc. came across beautifully. All and all I think it's a solid choice! Good luck
