		new mids/highs choices

I'm gonna put Hertz HSK 165 6.5's in my jimmy. I heard Alpine,Kenwood, JL and Poke when checking speakers out and Nothing came close to the Hertz in sound quality. They sounded ridiculously clear and the tweeter did not hurt my ears like some others did. Here in Canada where I live everything is really expensive compared to other places. A lot more then the prices in the usa. For sound quality and price nothing came close. Others sounded real good too but hundreds of dollars more and honestly I couldn't hear no difference. They are around 400 bucks here so assuming cheaper wherever you are. http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/default_en.htm underthe High-energy series.

Dead set on purchasing Fi Q12 but question...

What are the major differences between then 2? I read the Q is the sound quality reference line and the BL is more SPL/Daily driver? I thought this meant the BL would be for people more interested in louder over clearer. Does the BL have tighter higher pitched bass then the Q? They are the same price so did you mean "low end sub" for bass wise?

Lookin to get a Q 12, quick question

Im getting the Fi Q12 and was gonna put it with a soundqubed Q1-1200D. 1200 at 1ohm for $270 bucks. Dont think you can go wrong with that. I asked similar question about a week ago and no one had anything but good things to say about the Q1-1200D. Good reviews and opinions is all I got. Could not find anything with quality for that price. There is always the Q1-200D as well. 2200 at 1ohm for $429. Anyone know something similer to the Q1-1200D for the same price ish? Im curious too.

		ICON 12- delivery time.

Was just wondering if anyone could tell me how accurate SSA is on there estimated delivery times. Say's approx. 21 business days building time. So just over a month then shipped. Obviously it is an estimate but are they typically close? Are they a company that is honest about estimated times and not one of those companies that will tell you one thing knowing it won't happen? Just curious not trying to bash. I know shit happens so delays happen and what not just curious on the accuracy of the estimated delivery times. thnx.

		Pioneer DEH-80PRS in 2005 Jimmy.

Thats what I was thinking. It's just a reguler size unit. All I need is the mounting kit and maybe module. IDK what the module is LOL just what guy at store told me few months ago when I was gonna get a deck but decided not to pay them a shit ton for it and install. Amazing howmuch money you can save buying online. Also amazing howmuch you learn reading and researching because you want to get what you pay for. Learned that the few stores in my area are charging WAY more then anyone else. I can get this pioneer for 300bucks but guy at store tried telling me nothing under 700 bucks can give you sub control, custom EQ and everything else.

		Pioneer DEH-80PRS in 2005 Jimmy.

Was curious if anyone knew if this would fit or be able to install in a 2005 jimmy. On crutchfield when I fill in my year make and model it says it cant be installed. This does not make sence to me as its not a huge double din or anything. The response only meen they don't have the kit for it? Maybe a kit for this model to work with a Jimmy doesnt exhist anymore? I don't know why a reg size deck would not work. car= 2005 jimmy 2door. No bells and whistles. standard, no steering wheel controls or anything. 1st piece to go with: Hertz HSK165 6.5 components for front. Fi Q12 in ported enclosure Soundqubed Q1-1200D at 1ohm Soundqubed Q4-120 for components.

Cut Sheets Fi Q12 still current??

Just thinking if I should build a little bit bigger and play with some stuffing. Little more little less maybe unit I get the sound i'm looking for. Has anyone tried this? Is it smart at all? Just thinking maybe be an easier way of modifying a Box quickly and easier then rebuilding it few times. Was looking around and curious. Is Khotik Enclosures still around? They seem to have really nice boxes but don't think they exist any more. Anyone know if they are alive and kicking ??

Cut Sheets Fi Q12 still current??

OK awesome. Has the design/stats on the Q12 not change much at all since 2010? Just curious. Just getting back into car audio game. Only had two systems in last 10 yrs as school and starting new career made spending money on car audio not the best choice. Nor did I have the funds to get me anything I would love. Hell even like.

Cut Sheets Fi Q12 still current??

Figured 12 would be enough for my needs and save room for camping, fishing equipment and beer lol. My intentions are not in any way for comps just looking for a set up I'd be proud and happy with. I believe the 12 will produce more then adequate bass and sound great for what I want.

Cut Sheets Fi Q12 still current??

Was wondering if those cut sheets are still optimum to today's Fi Q12?? I'm purchasing one at the end of this month and would like to build the box while I wait for delivery. Going for a ported enclosure but for fun was gonna build a sealed too and check them both out. Thinking of getting the sub fully loaded with every feature just cause I can and run it on a Q1-1200D from Soundqubed at 1ohm producing 1200watts. It will be in a 2005 jimmy 2 door so room is not a factor. I listen to all types of music and would love clear crisp bass but also able to bump it when I feel like it. I know there is no magic box that gives me both SQ and SPL just want good sounds on musical music and THUMPING when I crank dubstep/club music. Other components include: HERTZ HSK 165 6.5 component set (heard and loved how they sounded) Q4-120 4 channel from Sounqubed no speakers in the back Deck unknown atm. This is what i've put together which I will be purchasing in the next month. Amps and subs ordered online so will take awhile to get. Component locally store bought as I can not find online. Deck unknown but probably online as prices where I live in Canada are EXTREMELY inflated in comparison to online purchases. Any tips/ideas/criticism on my plans appreciated. Anyone have previous enclosure design that they have used and loved how it turned out ? Cut sheets i'm referring to are a sticky dated in 2010.

Dead set on purchasing Fi Q12 but question...

I know a couple people recommended a 15 or 18 since I have the room but I think I'll stick with the Q12. Will leave me more room for stuff for camping and trips lol. I believe it will provide me with enough bump for my needs. Not trying to compete in SPL comps obviously. I think the Q12 will be loud enough for when I want to feel the bass. If not guess ill just have to buy another Q1-1200D and Q12. lol. Anyone know any good box builders in Canada and if not in the north central/North west US? Closer the better as shipping costs on a box may get expensive and not worth it. Or design specific to a Q12 ported so I can build it. I don't have the knowledge to design my own.

Dead set on purchasing Fi Q12 but question...

I have decided on the Q because eventually you have to make a decision. I looked at many different woofers. I read and checked reviews on many different woofers and would pick one then change mind, pick then changed mind as I read more and and found more information on products I would like and dislike. RE being one that I thought was great but then read on the changing of ownership, customer service and quality. Information/reviews and prices brought me to really liking the Fi Q or the ICON 12. They both seem to be great products and I believe I would be happy with either. With those two being my final options I went with my gut and decided on the Q. I looked/read on RE, DD, Sundown, RF, soundstream, JL and many others. Some of those I looked at because back in the late 90's/ early 2000's when I was more up to date with car audio products they were regarded as good products. Reading and researching car audio today surprised me. I was blown away How MB quartz went down hill like that. When I was younger that's all anyone talked about. MB quartz or its garbage. speaker wise lol. O phoenix gold as well lol.

Dead set on purchasing Fi Q12 but question...

It's going into a 2005 jimmy with nothing else in it but the 2 amps. Figured space for one sub wouldn't be an issue. Figured whatever design would be best would fit in there as there is lots of room. Pioneer DEH-80PR was one that was recommended to me. I like that it has all those features and where I am it is cheap money wise. I was originally looking at some Alpine and kenwod decks in the 400-700 range with less features but pretty looking. thought I was getting much more for my buck with the Pioneer. I havn't even considered sound deadening yet.

Dead set on purchasing Fi Q12 but question...

LOL ok guess ill look into the 15 or 18. Need to find a box design now. Gonna build it after I make my order while I wait. Now for type of box. Ported or sealed? or even a T-Line maybe ?? Gonna be playing all types of music. Want clear bass that sounds good over SPL. I was thinking sealed. Never made a box before and would have to locate some designs. I believe I have the skills to build one as they don't seem difficult to build. I have done construction, finishing construction, Counter tops and made my own wood furniture. Really just don't know how to figure out the correct dimensions for air space etc.

Dead set on purchasing Fi Q12 but question...

I was looking for hard hitting but with quick response as I listen to ALL types of music. Club type stuff on highway usually where I really like to crank it. I have been told that the bigger you go the slower response to the next note. I'm not very knowledgeable but am reading / researching a lot recently to educate myself more. Since the late 90's I've only had 2 OK systems as I was in school and starting my career. Now I have the budget and time to get back in the stereo game which make me . Would a 15 or 18 just be louder? Would it produce better lows? Sorry if my questions hurt your head.

Dead set on purchasing Fi Q12 but question...

At the end of this month I will be purchasing an Fi Q12 for the great north. It will be installed in a 2005 jimmy 2door with lots of room. Atm I plan on using a Sounqubed Q1-1200D. At 2 ohms it states 870x1 at 2ohms and 1470 at 1ohm. Im wondering do you think running it at 2ohms will give the Q12 enough power that it sounds good and not sluggish or do I have to go at 1ohm. Will running it at 1ohm take away some of the reponse/clearness of the Bass? Should I go with the Q1-2200D for 2ohm? Would rather not do that as it is almost 200 bucks more. planning on using a ported box unless you have a better suggestion. Thnx. This is the beginning of a new build. Other components include: Hertz HSK 165 6.5 component up front (heard them and was amazed on clarity) Soundqubed Q4-120 Pioneer DEH-80PRS Components and head unit not set in stone yet but are my choices atm. Ordering amp/sub end of this month. Been reading and looking for over a month now and Have decided for sure on the FI Q12 and SQ amps. Quality/price/reviews and comparing to other products help me make this decision. Any awesome box designs available specific to the Q12 for an SUV lol, just thowing that out there. Thank you for your time.
