  1. Even in ported you are of the opinion to brace rather than glass the inside? Just curious. Glassing boxes has become in fation for sure, and I never saw the point but some saw in a ported box it messes with airflow.
  2. I forgot about the 20/20!!! I remember that and the boons. Good old boons farm. Many a wee lass back in the day was tricked by it's magical .50 a 750 power. That and st ives(sp). Brings those highschool memories rushing back.
  3. I have heard they are great. Sounds like you had a good time. I haven't had that much fun since a kenny G concert.
  4. You can find it at the bottom of a bottle of bourbon, but only if you drink it first. Fixed that for ya You high class guys. I think box wine is a much better value!
  5. so who has some good news for me today?
  6. does anyone have a reset button for the day. I want to start over.
  7. me 2 man..... me 2. That made my day better already, that helps. I'm having about the louseyest year and a half a guy could ever have. I hate that down on yourself feeling too, feels like i'm tossing a big pity party 4 myself.
  8. ....I need to find her and get permission from my g/f to let her move in with us. She can have my half of the bed, I'll just sit in the corner and watch.
  9. I am so uninspired today. I really do not want to be at work. Car trouble this AM on the G/F's vehicle and I slept in late. I should have called in dead.
  10. SSA at work FTW!
  11. board seams to be moving sloooow today. maybe it's just the day.
  12. Maybe I answered this.. But I just realised how I reallly found this place. I had been doing a home audio project and I've never been happy with my bass set up ever. I went looking for some DIY set ups and came accross TC sounds and tried to dig up info. I had ben an ancient member on ROE I think but, the place didn't much meet what I needed and was more wangin type stuff. I found this forum and I have been massively addicted since. I never got my LMS or any other sub BTW spent too much time reading and learn and never buying lol.
  13. When I managed a retail store I would help my friends wire up their systems or work on my car. I had 9 hours of downtime a day, so why not =) It was pretty funny getting into trunks and tucking wires, removing subs etc in a tie and dress shoes.
  14. Same with anything man. I love that Idea and I plan full well using it when I set up my rig. You ar e amaster of your craft, it's all those little thinsg that make things actualy work right. What people see is what amazes them but it's what they don't see that allows it to happen. I go to your forum and keep up to date on all yoru projects, not that from me it's some serious award, but you should be pretty damn proud. good job man. You have probably inspired many guys to do some pretty inventive things...
  15. LOL. I would love to bring in some of that kind of work here. Do a box build at the desk, maybe soldier some wire.
  16. I love HT threads I myself sir am not a fan of outlaw products, not totaly impressed. They are not bad, just not huge value to me. I am a huge fan actually of integra, when it comes to value prices A/V receivers. I think you get allot of bang for your buck, and most importantly they are verry verry user friendly. Mine is one of the lower end 7.1 rigs, and I am really satisfied for my current needs. Only note I would have to knock on them is I think that they could use more power, but such is the way with all home audio IMHO. Just my .02 for something not everyone has that I feel is a great value when you take into account interface and usability. Jim Makes a solid point however, and the best part is when you buy pre/pro and amp set ups, you can replace the pre/pro portion as the tech changes for a much lorew cost than a new A/V receiver everytime around. Not that people do that unless they have boat loads of cash, but if you wanted to upgrade video or audo processing, it's much more cost effective, and power will always be power.
