Joints are sore. Going to see doc soon. Been doing one major muscle group on machines for a month then doing laps of walking and swimming in the pool. Helps to rehab knees to water walk. Then Hot tub sets. Also 2 times a week 10 min rounds with a heavy bag. Killer work out. Or jogging if it rains.

Stefan, most of what I tell you is only second hand info. I do not have that much experience shooting far out. Only iron sights or tactical low power glass. 200 yards maybe. Other than that is has been with friends hunting set ups. A lot of 300win mag and 7mm mag. Stupid high power with no break and shitty glass. Like $150 shitty. I'm being candid with you though in what I have experienced in that I made a lot of poor purchases. I love my AR-10 but it isn't the "last rifle" or caliber like I thought it would be. I also know from the hunting rifles what I do and don't want. What I am saying is use my advice as a certain in mistakes, but just well educated in good decisions.

Start with a known dope sheet for your barrel length and caliber/load. You will need to test in reality. Elevation(AKA air density) makes a difference even. I think you said. 308 is your choice and i gaurentee you can even find AZ. 308 dope sheets online for what ever ammo you buy! AZ is a popular shooting place.
