  1. I love them. They sound great when I want them to and they put up some good numbers when I want them to as well. I am still in a design mode for a new box. But on your box, if you have a lot of room for a box then you wouldn't really need more power but if you don't have enough space then I'd get more power to compensate if you want to get loud.
  2. what is the biggest volume you can get into your trunk? I just did a build for a convertible and its not gone any room at all.
  3. Was that supposed to be impressive or depressing? lol, O M, you crack me up.
  4. if you had proof that the equipment is yours then you could have contacted the police and then gotten your equipment back without paying for it. Or you could have just whooped his ass and taken your equipment back. lol.
  5. Jay-cee is probably trying to state an amp from the XXV line from hifonics. But yeah, get yourself a AP30001D, 3000 watts at 2 ohms bridged. But I would get a high output alternator though. That little thing you have isn't going to cut it. Your alternator is going to die in no time. Good luck to your buddy that is running his amp at .5 ohms daily on the same electrical.
  6. Don't get me wrong, if I had the money, I'd go with sundown though but I would get the SAZ.
  7. I never said anything about the sundown 1500d amp. I am just saying 1500 watts in general. I was going to suggest another amp but I doubt the OP would go with it anyways.
  8. Make sure that that alternator wire fuse is big enough or if you blow that fuse during a drive and don't have backup fuses then you won't get any charging power from the alternator. Also, why fuse the alternator wire and not the wire between the batteries? They are still power wires. If a short was to happen, you could burn your car down. I'd like to hear what else you had done that was a result from your friend. We can help you figure out if something is right or not.
  9. 1500 watts is not too much for SSD in the right enclosure. What are your goals and listening preferences?
  10. switch up to 4 gauge at least and then get rid of that cap.
  11. I thought they were a good company until someone said they are almost the same as Hifonics. I dont know about that though. I know the prices are competitive. You're pretty misinformed, dude. And OP needs to use the "search" tab.
  12. well and I am sure two 15" BTLs can get pass 150s too. But in a magnum and from what was said in the first post, I highly doubt he can do 150s with either.
  13. Man, I hate Jesus. Those Christians need to get off his nuts. Doesn't that sound retarded? Or are you just mad he kicked you off his forum? I guess you could hate him for that. PS- Steve Meade is not my sub god or my sub enemy. I don't know the guy.
  14. hahaha. you refuse to do business with a company close to steve? is that right now? So take AA, Fi, Kicker, Iraggi, and XS Power out. Did steve kill your baby? blew his eardrums with too much SPL?
  15. its called sound quality and its not what you want. so go and tune higher with a bigger port. it sucks but if you want more output then either build the new box or get more power and if your subs cannot handle the higher power than get new subs. man, i cannot believe i understood what i wrote being this drunk.
  16. audiobahn power rating is shit.
  17. 2/0 welding cables is the same as the knu kolossus 1/0 cable. The only difference is the jacket. Some people say that welding cables are not flexible but I think different. I have had kicker hyperflex as well and I think they are just as flexible when you want to bend them. The welding cable will keep its form better though. The hyperflex will fall like wet noodle lol. Some like one way and some like the other way. Some say the jacket on the welding cables are weak but think about what welding cables are used for and where. There is no way that they can be weak with their industrial purpose. Also, I have never had any ripping or tearing or whatever problem with the welding cable jackets. So yeah, they are a little cheaper on price than the kolossus wire too. Knu's wires are always bigger than the rest of the competition and bigger than AWG ratings too. SO 2/0 welding cable 100% copper is like getting kolossus 1/0 100% copper. Just a lower price and without the flashy color. But I could care less because my wires are hidden under the carpet or under the hood or whatever. Also, if the wiring has the same cross sectional area then they are rated the same. big strand counts are for flexibility. "At high frequencies, current travels near the surface of the wire because of the skin effect, resulting in increased power loss in the wire. Stranded wire might seem to reduce this effect, since the total surface area of the strands is greater than the surface area of the equivalent solid wire, but in fact a simple stranded wire will have worse skin effect than a solid wire, because of its increased average resistivity due to inclusion of air gaps within the wire."
  18. wtf does that mean? do you know him personally to say something like this?
  19. whats the symbol for? and what did you use to wrap over it?
  20. Thanks for the comments. Interior/exterior high gloss paint at Lowes with a medium density foam roller . I forgot the brand of the paint. I already gave the customer the rest of the paint. Spray can clear coat.
  21. Man, it was close as hell.
  22. http://www.darvex.com/mm5/merchant.mvc? I bought two 1/0 to 4 gauge reducers from there.
