  1. I just think you could still get loud with the q by tuning higher witha bigger port. I have the SSDs and they get loud easily and can sound good as well with the lower tuning. I think making a new box first is cheaper than buying new subs.
  2. I was born in Vietnam, move to Philippines for some time before moving to America.
  3. its starting to get too cold for me to be outside. lol. Im a bear, I gotta hibernate.
  4. I'll be in the show with shizzzon, jshak07, enellz, and some other local friends too. Competitors don't like the show that much for some reason. They all go because its a 3X event for MECA. Thats why I am going. If you want to talk about living everywhere. hehe. I lived in Hanoi Vietnam, Nha Trang Vietnam, Some island on the Philippines, I think the city was Charleston West Virginia, Lansing Michigan, and then Louisville KY
  5. don't lie, you have been siting there watching movies all day. lol.
  6. You probably went to the carl casper show. But yeah, if it was me, a mid 140 with smaller or less subs is more impressive than more or larger subs. I know someone that did high 140s with a single 12" sub. Way more impressive but it depends on the audience. its your system so your the planner.
  7. Who says a 12" sub cannot do mid 140s? It can be done. Its all in testing and the box.
  8. If you want space back there then why go with bigger drivers for? Don't think smaller size subs don't get loud.
  9. and try to find out each shop's reputation first before deciding on one. They may be cheap but there's a reason why, sometimes. lol.
  10. On your next box, run a bead of titebond wood glue on every edge that is going to connect to another side. Then get silicon caulk and seal the seams of all the panels. And always have a port with a height to width ratio < 9:1.
  11. Edit: Just read that again. If this amp is a class a/b amp then maybe the current draw from the battery is about the same as a class d amp rated for double that of the A/B amp.
  12. http://bcae1.com/ some info can be taken from there.
  13. I doubt its that under-rated.
  14. Weak sauce. I have 35ft of 8 gauge speaker wire. lol. Beat that Ben.
  15. I doubt you're going to be able to answer all those questions in your paper. That shit goes in depth with physics and electrical/acoustical studies. But yeah, what class is this?
  16. lol. Great dance moves and car flex.
  17. Their collosus fleks are 100% copper. and its the strands X the size of the strands too. But knu fleks is a bit expensive so I got welding cable instead.
  18. It looks like every other welding cable. Its black with shiny copper insides. Knu's 100% copper 1/0 wire is the same size as welding cable 2/0 wires not counting outer jacket. Both are 2/0 AWG size. Knu is a little bit more expensive.
  19. Just got my 25ft of 2/0 welding cable in the mail. There is plenty copper in this baby. And when I run my wires through the firewall, I wrap it a couple of times with vinyl electrical tape. Never had any cuts in my wires before.
  20. both. lol. I may upgrade later on. I had someone wanted to buy my wiring so I sold it.
  21. yeah, whats in the picture is not enough.
  22. Ninja edit Sean. O and my wires will come in this week. I saw that the 2/0 welding cable is the same size as the knu 1/0 wire. But I am getting the welding cable for less so I'm okay with that. Its still AWG 2/0 though. Its supposed to be able to hold up to the low 400 amps of current so if I ever want to go with another ap30001D then its still plenty.
  23. I'm going to wrap all of the MDF in plastic. I hate having to clean up MDF in the car. I'm OCD sometimes about being neat or clean. Wait, I can ask Josh or Ben since one has an SUV and the other has a trunk. Sweet.
