  1. It seems like people cannot google. Wikipedia has the basic info you will need. I would think people would know this through basic high school physics.
  2. Get some grilles with the metal bars going across the sub. That should help with those cowboy boots and little happy feets .
  3. Thanks. I have everything ran except the front stage amp power and ground wire and the sub speaker wires. I have to figure out a way to create a second level false floor on top of the amps but with something that will still allow ventilation. Any ideas? The sub box is going to be flush up against the back seats and the amps are going to be side by side near the trunk entrance.
  4. hold on. I am getting my speaker wires tuesday so I should be able to have everything ready. I'll take some pictures then. Everything in my signature is what I am running.
  5. Doesn't Db-r have a warranty on the repair?
  6. has anyone sat on it while you were playing something with "good" bass?
  7. Very nice. Pic? How was the deal with DB electrical? And why did you choose them?
  8. I like it. I am bias though because I'm going to run two 10" SSDs too. One thing though, is that I'd get a battery instead of that cap if you need more power. If you don't get dimming then just get rid of it because its more strain on the alternator. Just a suggestion.
  9. What is the set-up going to be like?
  10. I may try his stuff and see how it performs.
  11. Don't waste your money on the B-Quiet. Here is where I would shop: http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi Thanks for the new showdown link. I remember the first showdown. It was very informative. Bookmarked.
  12. How are you liking the SSD?
  13. wow. If that was 190 shipped, then go and get him to build you a ported box. Thats really good especially for the craftsmanship that he puts in it. I know my boxes are not that nice looking.
  14. turn the subsonic filter on. Check out pound that sound and fisher boxes or whatever on here. They make really nice stuff.
  15. what was wrong with the BLs?
  16. I think that 2000 watts is too much for the SSD though unless you're going to be running it higher ohms. Also, I'd tune a little higher for rap. 33hz-35hz maybe.
  17. I like your sig there.
  18. I am with denim. Get the 12" SSD. You will be surprised, trust me. I think you may be like my little brother. He didn't want a 12" BTL because it was not a 15" and being smaller. After he listened to what it sounded like, he definitely changed his mind.
  19. what void are you talking about? Are you talking about output? Are you talking about a certain frequency range? Or are you just trying to reason yourself to get a 15"? If you know your answer then there is no use of asking other's opinions.
  20. Get one of the box builder companies on this forum to build you a good ported box if you think your box building skill isn't up to par. You can always try to do a sealed box yourself. Just seal all the seams. I'd go with the 12" SSD ported.
  21. Yesss....4400 rated watts is scary to mere mortals I think he meant by the location and orientation of the install and not the amps themselves.
  22. If you're going to use that prefabbed box you have, then just get a block of wood and seal up the port and you got a sealed box right there without spending more money. Making a sealed box is pretty easy. Its just a box. lol. PS- there is no hostility. You just ask questions that can be answered if you use the search or look at Fi's website. Also, you insinuated that john would lie to you for some reason.
  23. I don't think people use google very much. You should already know that every size of the SSD has the same power rating because it is on their site and you must have looked at the SSD line to want to order it and there are many wiring configuration sites that are easy to use. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...mp;woofer_imp=3 http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_c...sp?Q=1&I=42 http://www.crutchfield.com/learningcenter/...=2SVC_4-ohm_4ch
