  1. get an amp that does about 400 watts at 2ohms and you should check out some used equipment on CA.com, ROE, or CACO. It may be cheaper to find a hifonics on there. I actually got a hifonics 1608d (new on CA.com) for about the same price as the hifonics 600 watt amp on ebay.
  2. Space issue and I got my 10" subs really cheap. I am tired of the 1 single 15" sub or the 2 12" subs look. I wish I could give enough room for an 18" in my trunk but... thats not going to happen especially when I want to use part of my trunk still. I am actually going to be do a build for 2 10" subs for my trunk car and 4 8" subs for another trunk car. The boxes are going to give enough space for the subs and about half the room left in the trunk to store stuff.
  3. does it have 2 + and - or just 1 + and -? if it has 2 of each then you want an amp that gives about that amount of power at 2 ohms. If it just has 1 set of each then you want an amp that gives that power at 4 ohms.
  4. what other set-ups have you had?
  5. x2. I bet you're not going to be happy with the 18" Q or push it past its limits trying to get what you want.

Remember that Fi is ran by people with normal lives that have normal problems. I was very impatient with my emails but after I found out about why the emails weren't coming as quick as I would like, I was fine with waiting a little longer. They will get back to you, trust me. Their customer service is great.
  7. You shouldn't have bought anything until the research was done.
  8. Seriously, I think that YOU probably messed it up.
  9. for the right price, why not? And don't people say the saz1500 do more than 1500 watts? Or you can also just replace the start-up battery then. lol.
  10. d3100 is their biggest baddest best battery
  11. message shizzzon, he is selling his powermaster d3100 battery cheap locally. He's in louisville. He has some other stuff for sale too. Check it out. The d3100 battery would be great for the saz1500.
  12. even though it is only 500 watts at 2 ohms, you know there are JL fan boys that will pay a good price for it. I don't know exactly how much though. You should do a google search. That is what I always do before I buy. See what people are saying about it and what prices are new and used.
  13. he can go sonotube if he has more vertical space and not horizontal space.
  14. its fine to have a second battery without a high output alternator. Do the big 3, it will help.
  15. Streetfigther 4 and COD5 mostly right now. clutchcrossfire is my gamertag.
  16. HOLY. Suck a ****. That's beastly.
  17. MJ-18M is a great low budget home theater sub. This baby tuned to 20hz is awesome for movies and sounds great on music too. I don't know if this has been said in the thread yet but I got one and it was basically a steal from mach5.
  18. yes, he is. and two 12" and two 15" subs.
  19. seriously. thats just going to be a waste.
  20. nice design and work. I was thinking about two of those 12" Xs. can you give me a link to the kerf tutorial?
  21. Not everyone listens to lil jon.
  22. I know what you mean. I feel like I'm on crack when I see a home theater set-up.
  23. cant wait to see the build and finished vehicle.
  24. Yup. This set-up is for video gaming (first person shooters mostly) and movie effects (the girlfriend will love it). 20% for music listening but I may have to turn it down for that. I am not going to tell any one of my friends that I am going to do this. I want to see their reaction when the first explosion happens. I will only need a projector after this and my theater project will be finally finished but thats probably not going to be a while due to money shortage. Hehe. Well, there will be little projects in the mix like a flexy component rack and theater curtains or large beams with the component racks integrated under them so I can fit the largest projection screen in there.
