Hey all, our Finals event was today and boy was there some heated competition. Andrew AKA Andrew2944r had his beautiful truck there. 3 DC LVL 5 18's in a wall, with 3 Sundown SAZ 3K's and 7 Kinetiks with Dual Alts from DC Power. Did a 157.8 at 55Hz...destroying his competition. Another member, Jordan had his Black Neon there with a single SAZ 1500D on 1 DD 9515F doing 149.7's at 59Hz. I myself had my car there, 2 12" Soundstream SPLX 12's on 2 SAZ 3K's...I had radio and electrical problems and crap all day...stumbled and clipped my way to a 148.9 ended up taking my class anyways. Also a local team mate Cody Breedlove had his 98' Pathfinder there with 2 AQ 1200D's strapped at .5ohm on 2 Soundstream T4 15's doing 152.7's at 45Hz. Brian Giacone could not make the event, due to personal issues. Me, Cody, Andrew, and Jordan all took 1st place today as well as Andrew took High SPL of the day with a 157.8.. Team Sundown pwnt the competition today, we'll continue to own next year as well.. :bigclap:

Nightshade is re-coned and ready to kick some more ass.. Single 18".....154+ anyone ?

I did for 3 burps last weekend...each amplifier seeing 0.25ohm.... But daily I've only been running 1 3000D at 0.5ohm with 0 problems....

The tensils and a set of terminals are fried... BIG thanks to Jacob on ASAP'ing me a re-cone and new terminals FTW!! Point blank AWESOME guy..I can't say enough good things about him... Team Sundown FTW..

Didn't Jacob say somewhere between 125-150 watts real wattage per channel? I know a guy that has the 100.4 on a Rainbow Component set and an Oz Audio Matrix Elito 180cs Component set and it's super clean, crisp and LOUD. All his amps are underrated by quite a bit....My SAZ-1500D @ 1 ohm clamped 1,877 watts with 1 Kinetik 2000.. and clamped 21xx @ 0.5ohm with 1 Kinetik 2000 before impedance rise. But my impedance rise was very very little in my last box...very very efficient.

Keep me/us updated Jon on how you like the 15" Nightshades. I've got the custom beefed up 18" Nightshade, one of few made and I freakin love it. I'm running my SAZ 3000D to it .5ohm daily....and I took my 2nd amp, strapped them at 2 ohm for 6000 daily and it took it like a champ for a few days...but no need for that much power daily so I'm backto one amp...but the difference was INSANE. You won't be dissapointed even with the stock Nightshades...pound for pound they hold their own.. And not to mention Jacob and his A++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Customer Service....I've spent over $2,000 with the man and will continue to buy from him.. Next time I'm around Austin/San Antonio, I'd like to hear your ride...I've always liked installs done in Towncars/Crown Vics...

I've busted the windown out in my Silverado from the pressure...It was only doing 145dB, but I had windows rolled up on a long drive... In my Sebring, the windshield flexes so bad with this 18" Nightshade with one of my SAZ 3000D's it knocked the whole mirror off the window...it fell and busted in a couple pieces...I need to order a new one now..and while during one of my burps, it knocked my sunroof off track at 151dB...but I got that fixed... Fun times..

3M Laminte....takes 2 minutes to change...Peels right on and off...and is high heat resistant.. I love them, I get nothing but praise on them.

Went to local show, Larry's Electronics today in Mesquite....Lotta nice stuff there... Had my hoopty out there as usual...both 3000D's strapped @ 0.5ohm...each amp seeing 0.25ohm....and the 18" Nightshade in my daily music box tuned to 27Hz....WoW! lol.......Peaked out at 44Hz.... Tone 44, I burped a 150.4 and a 150.5.......I can't wait to get the SPL box in this damn thing... On to a couple pics..... The Ride.. The set-up... The Equipment of choice.. The score... Had a good time...Looking for 154's when I get the SPL box done...

Maybe look into the DEKA Intimidators as well if you dont have any yet. I've got 3 of the 9A31's and I love them 10x better than I did my Kinetik 2400's. If you get Dual 4 ohm, like Jon stated and wire the pair to 1 ohm...you'll get 0.5 ohm to each amplfier daily. Unless you run 1 amp to each subwoofer....then you run into gain matching and all that junk..and you could only get to 2 ohm on a D4 speaker wiring them individually. If your gonna wire em' together..go Dual 2 ohm..and you can wire the pair to 2 ohm...each amplifier sees 1 ohm...series then parallel...because Jacob wont warranty under 1 ohm. And you can also parallel, parallell to get to 0.5 ohm, 0.25 ohm per amp on burps...I burped mine at .25 ohm and they rocked. Are you strapping the amps or running them seperately? Hope this helped..

Sup guys, unfortunately I have to part with my 2nd 3000D....I do not wanna do this, but when your out of a job...stuff's gotta go.... I'm Team Sundown and its open to Team Members that want one.. PM me for a price if your Team SD, and we can get the ball rolling..I'm in a big bind...Credit card bills and internet bills are coming...I know someone wants a 3K...and I know Jacob doesn't quite have them yet.. I appreciate it Jacob for letting me sell it, but I'll be buying another one soon as I can afford it again. Brian cut tail and moved to Louisana, and from what I understood from him on the phone is he does not have internet access where he is in Baton Rouge... He no longer does the custom graphics due to him being fired from his Graphics job here in Dallas. I've got his cell phone #, but he doesn't do the graphics anymore.

the thing I love about the nightshades is that they sound louder than what they are I can't wait to start cranking up the gains a bit...Gonna get loud....for sure... And yes Jacob....this sub is F'en awesome...I've got it in 32Hz.... and it gets nasty on the lows....I'm thinking of building a box tuned in the mid 20's.....think it would do ok in a 25Hz enclosure? Or would it be too far below the Fs and hurt the sub ?
