RE XXX 12"
Oh...trust me..when I get this wall built and going...I'm going to take a video and post it.. In the build now......

RE XXX 12"
Yea, I'm not going to put both 3000D's on it and wire the sub to 1, and let each amp see 0.5 ohm.... I don't think it will handle it. But would it handle each amp at 2 ohm...for 3200 RMS? If not, I can probably get another XXX and run 1 amp per woofer. I just want a musical sub now, not into SPL as much...Lookin for a ground pounder. Would 2 XXX's in a wall.....I know theres a lot of variables...but does it have the potential to be a sick ground pounder ?

RE XXX 12"
Somehow I've ended up with an 07' RE XXX 12" sub.....lol....Couldn't pass the deal up, so I snagged it. Was just wondering...I've got 2 Sundown Audio 3000D's..If I wire this thing to 4 ohms, let each amp see 2 ohms...that would equal 3200 RMS going to the subwoofer. Can this thing handle that much power day to day? I may end up not running this woofer, I may just keep it for the future....but if I do, I want to know if it can take the power. I know RE claims 2000 RMS, but if I keep my gains true and do not go full tilt, will it be ok....or am I going to be breaking out the BBQ sauce pretty soon? Any one have experience with this woofer? I'd appreciate it, if you would give me your summary of it....as I can only find a few reviews on it. Thanks, Jeff

Memphis or Kickers
I second what John said....

Team SunDown @ TBP
Good job Andrew....Kick some A** for us. I'll do my best to make it for the FW show. If anything, I'll bring you your battery.

Battery ??
Yea I talked to him briefly about them. I just want to make sure that 3 DEKA 9A31's and my Yellow Top will be sufficient for both 3000D's straopped. If need be.....if absolutely need be...I'll buy a 4th one. But if 3 will be more than plenty, thats what I'm going to go with. Thanks John.

Battery ??
I'm getting ready to order 3 DEKA Intmidator cells from REMY through the ROE.com group buy... My question is....they have 100 Amps/Hour rating.....so 100x3 is 300 Amps/Hour on tap... Would that be enough to feed the 3000D's properly along with them being from what I read up on them(underrated) at 1000CCA's... and my Yellow-Top up front...all 0 gauge wiring, 2 runs of ground and power front to back....160Amp load boss alternator... Should this be enough to feed the amplifiers properly? I'm going with a wall and 2 15" subwoofers...undecided on the woofer as of now and I want to have enough voltage on tap...

sundown saz 1500d @0.5
I ran my 1500D's at 0.5 ohm and 0.25 ohm.....Performed flawlessly and never had a problem. Keep your gains true and you should be fine.

What Should I DO
I would think if it is a Tahoe...you can hit a 150 easily especially with a 3000D. With 2 Sundown 1500's on a single 12" I did a 151.3..out of a trunk no less.. It can be done.....It's all in your box preparation and box build. I found that out building so many different boxes for my car....boxes make a world of difference. And I just happened to find a good combination that works. Like John said....try a different box and different tuning...it can be done...

Battery questions
Thanks John. Appreciate it very much.

Battery questions
I saw that, but I did some research on the DEKA Intimidators, and the only ones I can seem to find are ones with like 700 CCA's and 850 Amps at 32 degrees. Don't they have any around 2000-3000 CCA's or am I missing something? I saw the group buy.....thanks John, appreciate that very much!!

Battery questions
I had them on the Kinetiks and it performed well...Kinetik kinda ticked me off, so here I am looking for another battery. It works fine seemingly...voltage never dropped under 13.4's , or 13.3's on music and never under 13.1 volts at competition. They sorta ticked me off, so I'm selling them and going with a differtent company. But yes, 2 3000D's pounded and never had any voltage issues...but then again, I never get over 1/4 gain and 1/4 bass boost because at that level its already so INSANELY loud its ridiculous. But I talked to my great sponsor Jakcob Fuller about a Sundown Nightshade 15"(He's taken care of me greatlY) hes going to tweak it a bit, longer coil and whatnot so I can run a pair of 3000D's to it daily as well as competition. But now I'm looking for another battery choice, and need opinions...because before the Kinetiks, all I ever used was the G31 Optima Yellows...

Battery questions
Here in my next build, I'm going with 4 batteries, but am unsure about which to use. I'm going to be building a wall in my 2 door Chrysler Sebring....2 Sundown Audio 3000D's, 1 15" custom Nightshade(lil bit of tweaking) and a Sundown Audio 100.4 for component set. I'm running all 0 gauge Kicker Hyperflex wiring, Optima Yellow Top up front with big 3 done with the only alternator available for my vehicle...a Load Boss 160 Amp alternator. My question being....I know of all these battery companies....and I've used Kinetik but want to go a different route. How are Powermaster...DEKA Intimdators and any other high amperage brand of AGM batteries stacked up against eacvh other? Is their one better than the other, and where could I find the BEST pricing. I do not have a ton of money to spend, as I'm working on about a $500 budget for the batteries. Which one will suit me well and have the best bang for buck value? Anyone suggest another battery that will suit me for what I'm doing or....? Any and all opinions appreciated in advance. Geoff

RF or Sundown
I've personally owned a pair of 1500D Sundowns. Awesome out standing amplifier to say the least. Ran them all the way down to .25 ohm a piece even on music and they did awesome. They blew me away in output and they are very sturdily built. A very solid piece of equipment. I have a friend with a T10001BD but I do not havce any experience with it firsthand, only seen it in a friends car. It does the job very well on a pair of Treo Engineering 12's. I'd say between the 2 though, I'd go for Sundown. Jacob provides TOP NOTCH customer service and is their to answer any questions or to chat with you if needed. A very solid guy that I have a ton of respect for. But I don't have the experience with the RF to give you a decisive answer.

SPL audio subs
A guy around here has a 15" SPL Audio subwoofer running on a kicker 1000.1 amplifier. In my opinion, its just like any other general run of the mill subwoofer. Looks different but thats about it... Sounds ok, but it may be the box that it is in, so I can not say it will not perform well in the optimal enclosure designed for it. I believe he bought his off of www.woofersetc.com..

thinkin to step my game up
BTL's will get low. There is a guy that lives around here that drives a Range Rover with 2 15" Fi BTL's powered by a Powerbass 4000.1 mono-block with 3 HC Kinetik 2400's and a 4 channel Soundstream amp running CDT components. It's in a 10 cubic foot box tuned to 32Hz he claimed...and it straight murdered the lows. I sat inside the truck and it was sick loud.... At 32Hz, he metered a 150.xx something. I told him, why dont you increase your tuning, and add another mono-block Powerbass 4000.1...and he said its in the works, should be ready by middle June with the 2 amps. His CDT components sounded freaking awesome, from the 10 minutes I listened to it, they are very clean, crisp, and nice. Hell I have the Digital Designs component set powered by a Memphis 4 channel and they get loud and they say clean and crisp. I know you have the BL's, and I wanna hear your ride..but if you want to upgrade..go with the BTL's...or Robert that lives here is having awesome luck with the Audioque HDC3 12's on 2 Audioque 2200D amplifiers. NightTime
Nice....I want a pair of Nightshades......just the money situation stinks... How much do they weigh a piece? Good luck on the build, I want to see more pics!! What are they going to be powered by? Excuse me if you have already said...I'm tired as junk..

two batts
It'll "work" lets put it that way...but how long will that acid hold up to 1500 watts? My guess isnt long. It'll get you by...but you will kill it.. My friend ghetto rigged two Die-Hard batteries near his amp with a die hard up front...sounded good for about 3 days....and the batteries died... Just sell the Interstate and buy another Optima G31 if you can. Or if your budget is good, go for a Powermaster D3100....I've heard nothing but good from them.

149.3db
155+ on a single sub..... Hopefully I'll be somewhere around there when I get this box done for the XXX... I want at least a 154......

Chronic audio....
My friend carries them in his audio shop....nothing really great about them.... Just your run of the mill general generic sub. He has their "so called" "monster sub" and it is pretty cheesy built... It only sells for $89 if that tells you anything...lol... I saw them one day in there, saw how puny their "monster" was and havent payed attention to them since.

which battery should i install
I use the Kinetik line of batteries. They seem to hold up very well and I can get them at wholesale cost through MMS here in Dallas. I've heard nothing but praise about the Powermaster XS D3100 series of batteries as well....I think either would be a nice choice...In my opinion..I would probably install a Kinetik 1400 up front or a X-Static Batcap 2000 since you already have the other X-Static in the back... I try to use all the same brand of batteries... Hope this helps..

2 12" BL's
Look at my avatar...are you talking about like that? Thats from inside the vehicle....if it is...then yes, that is a good way to mount them if they fit....It also stops the trunk from rattling as well..if your not shooting monster wattage like me. I've got my XXX mounted just like that RE in that picture(my old setup) and it straight thumps. Will make the inside quite loud.. Hope this helps.

Digital Designs..
Nah, I'd like to hear your honest opinion of them. Thats what I'm asking you guys for is your truthful opinions. May not be good or bad, but everything has their pro's and con's. What do you truly think of them? Constructive criticism is welcomed..it does not bother me. But my 3 questions remain....why do I not need a component set since I have the 9887? And would running the set off of the SS 480.4 channel be sufficient enough? And how would I run them active? I'm still reading up on all this, but it's not making much sense to me...if you can put it into laymens-terms that would be much helpful. Thanks for taking your time to help me..much appreciated.

wsup with the BL
Keeping your gains moderate, the Q with BP option can handle the Sundown 1500 but do not be greedy by going full tilt with gains. But the BL will handle the Sundown 1500 a whole lot better than the Q will as far as power. As he mentioned the BL, you will lose a little bit of SQ but it will handle the 1500 watts and then some without having a problem. The Havoc is a good choice too, in my opinion...its a very similar sub. I'd probably go with the BL though.
