amp for 10" fi ssd with flatwind and bp options
I'm going to be running a Sundown SAE-1000D with my SSD. Its a bit over the budget, but its some headroom, and its bridgeable for later expansion. With the gains down a bit, it should work excellently. Someone can probably sugguest something that fits your criteria better, but I'm partial to Sundown.

New amp
How about a Sundown SAE-1000D? Just turn the gains down a bit and you'll have no problems, and some headroom to spare!

SSD Option Choice
Flatwind! Okay, flatwind. With or without BP Cooling? Also... how much does Flatwind affect sound quality? Some people make it sound pretty bad.

SSD Option Choice
I'm pretty much balls to the walls when it comes to bass... But if it comes to that, I'll turn the gains down. In your own opinion, would a SSD with BP Power and Copper Coil take 1kw? TheAbunai was running 1kw each on his SSDs, but I'm not sure of the specifics on his setup.

(Amp Guts) Help with noise **PICS**
Is that a cigarette burn on your amp, or did something arc and burn off the green coating? o.O

Heh, ok, maybe I'll get cooling.

New computer stereo
I have a Creative Gigaworks G500 5.1 system. Cost me $299 several years back, THX certified it says. Sounds pretty good. The ported 8" woofer has plenty of bass. Claims 120W on the woofer or so. Bought a cheap Creative Sound Blaster Audigy sound card at the same time. Might want to check that out, a complete 5.1 system thats all matched and everything.

12 Inch SSD, powered by a SAE-1000D, probably ported box. Copper or Flatwind coil? Cooling? I'm hoping I can get away without cooling.

Welcome to the IHoP
Make simple wooden furniture. Some people want/need cheap, quality chairs/tables without all the fancy designs and engravings. My friend runs a rattan furniture store, and the prices for that stuff is pretty mean. I like simple and functional.

I need some of these
Hmm, thats funny. This should be a part that any auto store carries. Try your local dealership's parts dept.

Man, I wish we had that kinda large pick-n-pull in Hawaii... We only got a little place where the cars are stacked to the sky.

14v / 15v / 16v
Its looks like it could work, as long as the ESC can handle the amp load and it provides clean power. Just make what ever you're controlling the ESC with doesn't go bezerk and dump 24V+ straight through.

I need some of these
So what are these and what do they do? Perhaps we can find some alternate fasteners that can do the job.

New to Fi. Might need a bit of help =).
Heh, you guys make it sound pretty bad, but the LOC isn't all that bad. You could try it out, and if it doesn't sound good enough for you, then just hang on to it, I'm sure it may come in handy for something. Unless you pony up the cash for the Fosgate. :D

I need some of these
What are these from? If they're interior clips that came on your car, check with your local dealership's parts department. Another place to get them that I would check first is NAPA or any auto shop around you. They often have odd body panel clips and assorted hardware for decent prices.

My pontiac has a small trunk
Nice box and sub, but isn't 42Hz a little high? Also, Eternal Kaos VP, I don't think capitalizing every word is necessary.

New to Fi. Might need a bit of help =).
I went the crude way for my home setup. I'm using an old H/K amp with no variable volume RCA outs, so I bought a Scosche High Level to RCA converter at Wal-Mart. It taps into your speaker outputs and gives you an RCA signal to work with. Now I know its not the most elegant solution, but it cost me all of about $20, and it sounds fine for my purposes (subwoofer). So don't hate. Theres one simple solution for ya.

2 18 Fi bls
Should be alright if they're fully loaded, you set the gains properly, and you're smart with the volume knob.

SAE-1000d Questions
Cool, I'll see if I can make it, thats out in kaneohe right?

2 1500d's info plz?
Either way, there shouldn't be much of a noticeable difference, unless you're planning to compete. You won't be able to hear the difference. Strapping will simplify things quite a bit too, as mentioned above. -Trevor

I need new headphones.
I have the Ultimate Ears super.fi EB earbuds. They're designed for extended bass response, and let me tell you, they slam. I got mine for about $120. Probably not what you're looking for in clear, but if you're a basshead like me, you'll love em. Not too bad in clarity though. (In my opinion)

Loaded SSD?
Hmm, so 1kw should be good if I take it easy on the knobs.
