Hi, i have 2 offers for subs one is for 1 mt 15" quad .7 for about 300-325 and the other is for some 10" xsite D4 which i was thinking to get bout 6-8 for 28 ea. so...which should i get?? i want spl btw i dont care much bout sq... edit: i have a SAZ-1500d and planning on getting a 2nd one

well IMO I would get the SAZ-1500d and here is why... 1) looks really sexy(atleast for me it does... lol) 2) amp wont get warm...I have a carpet on top of it so when i go to places people cant see it through the back window, and the amp barely gets warm even when my van is on the sun for a couple of hours. 3) really efficient at 2 ohms...i have 2 batts and the stock alt and my voltage only drops bout .3-.4 and when i pound my system all day the most it goes down is bout .6-.7 and that is really rare...so at 4 ohms i imagine there is gonna be realllyy little drop... you can probably find it used for about 325-375 and new well you gotta check on a dealer to see whats the lowest they can sell it to ya. also when I was looking for an amp i looked at most of the options you had in mind but i decided to pay a lil more for better quality and an awesome CS...

if you dont want to spend a lot get bout 2 blimished yellow top g31 optimas they work great and they only cost bout 120 each

...do u have a pic of the blown fuse?? iirc if the fuse melted it is that you dont have enough current and the voltage is low...and if it blows you have to check for any shorts or stuff like that...

did u check the amp's fuses??

X2...and IMO if u already have the equipment you should atleast try...if you dont like it yo can always do bassracer which i think a lot of people will do after they have seen the new rules

check if its your radio...my amp goes into protection at 2 ohms because of my damn radio...conect an ipod directly to the amp and check if it goes into protection....i have a 1500d and even with the volume at 0 it goes into protection....it ill definitly do 1 ohm or perhaps lower if you have a strong electrical system

yup went into protection when i did that so it should be the HU...itsweird cuz it plays fine sometimes and sometimes it goes into protection

OK....just came back from trying a couple of things. First i conected the amp directly to the HU...i went into protection... then i connected my phone to the preamp...and it went into protection... then got another set of rcas and connected them into the preamp and the HU into the preamp too...guess what played a bit and then went into protection... then i took my cellphone and connected it to the amp and it played fine even though it was not that loud...
