  1. OK so for another installmant of pics.. I must stress 99% of the wood working is me alone with the odd help to pick up big panels.. same goes for the majority of the build.
  2. More later!
  3. So who wants to see more.. Lets get going with the enclosure construction!
  4. Thanks, i'll update it with some more pics later!
  5. Hey guys. Been doing this build since way back in December 2007. I thought it be about the right time to start a build thread. Being the UK/EU Rep for Ascendant Audio, Fi Car Audio, XS Power, Powermaster, KnuKonceptz we saw it only fit to make something to challenge ourselves.. We had a bunch of ideas initially and I started on a relatively small scale of equipment which grew, grew and grew! Scott made me do something I didn't even think was possible but I'm not one to bow out of a challenge although looking back at it I would think twice about doing it again! Went through 10-15 different designs, ported walls, clams, bandpass's etc.. nothing was looking easy.. Measured things over and over till we knew for certain what we had to play with. With the design in mind I went ahead and drew it up in Sketch and worked out the volumes etc.. along with working out the tuning points for the rear chamber. We had a nice healthy 110cuft before anything was placed inside the 50mm thick shell.. tunnel taking out around 25cuft add to that the subs, braces, subs and we have a good 6.3-6.5 per driver. Before I begin with the pics I need to say a huge thank you to Scott @ Fi, he doesn't need any introduction the man is a legend in my eyes. Thanks also to the other people who have been involved in the creation of this build, in no particular order, Mike at CAD (SPL Dynamics), Scottie Johnson, Nick Morgan, Marshall Joyner, Edward Preston, Russ Taylor, Bill Greenberg and my other half.. who has been very understanding with the 1000s of hours spent on the build. OK enough with the Oscar winning speech.. 6. Thats fine. Drop us an e-mail if you need help with anything else.
  7. When you have 100s of people moan about the same thing then CRY when something goes wrong, then were called upon. Our company isn't about box shifting. We offer very one on one based service and ensure the customer is getting best out of his/her product. Were not about taking your money and running, were very passionate about what we do and go the extra mile to make things work. So I appologise If i come across bullish, however we really offer the customer an unbeatable deal. You wouldn't call our prices remotely high if you saw what the competition were selling there products for, without the back-up and support!
  8. Sir Everything in the UK is double. We have that thing between us called the Sea. Makes shit real hard to get in for the same price. We are here to serve the UK and Europe for a reason, good luck at trying to pull a fast one!
  9. Well working that out you must be getting them cheap then! your web site dose not offer all the extras and free shirt? so again better to buy from the US! can you offer me this? Our prices are a fully loaded BTL. 99% of the time that is what we sell. I would love to be able to sell these at the same price as what you pay in the US, but your in dream land if your thinking that'll happen. As they are back order we can serve you a FREE Shirt and FREE shipping in the UK. Oh and when you need back up and support you have it from us direct. You'll get the same technical backup from us here in the UK as you would get in USA. Hundreds of Fi's sold in and around UK/EU, no problems!
  10. Hyped prices? OK, so shipping is near as damit $300 per sub. Add to that our 15% VAT and 4% Duty. Then you have handling fees and customs clearence. You'll be paying MORE than what we sell them for.
  11. We put that together for the customer, not had a chance to dial it in yet since he lives so far away.. Was breaking things off the car when he left here though!
  12. Pics of the build on the Ascendant site

Yep bolts or just run a lead straight out and seal it with glue/gripfil. We can build enclosures, just send us the sizes.
  15. BILTD replied to Pezzaboi's topic in Fi Technical
Yep, all of that will be fine. Don't use a terminal just run the cable through the box.
  16. Not a bad score for 2kw. If its SPL fart machine your building with it.. then you need way more power. We've seen 150s out of single BTL15s.
  17. BILTD replied to andytb's topic in General Fi
Yeh bummer.. But even then the BL was coming onto being 2 yrs old in design, nothing stays the same for too long! More motor strength as well as the new tech in this years BL will make for a good step up in performance, should bridge the gap to the BTLs little more too
  18. Patrick, you need to come through us since we cover everything for Europe. Drop me an e-mail
