  5. So MECA Finals is coming up Oct. 3-4 just wondering who is coming and what class/es you may be in. Here is the event flyer and other info. http://www.mecacaraudio.com/flyers/10-03-09TNv3.pdf http://www.mecacaraudio.com/eventtable.aspx
  6. Used it on pretty much all our team installs as well as friends and it works great. I like it allot more than my car audio cable I have now and wish I would have known about this before. Welding Cable FTW!
  7. Those numbers are crazy man! I saw where you posted on MECA forum are you competing, if so what class?
  8. Sounds like a good time cant go wrong with wings and stereos lol, plus you can win one hell of an amp!
  9. My numbers are down allot due to my nightshade not being broke in and only having a few hours of play time on it. I also got phat 12 and phat car!
  10. I just got a single 12'' nightshade and I run a 1500 in s1. You can get a burp off on 40 amps of fusing, but you also have to roll the volume. I know you could get 85 amps to hold though. I think you should do a single 15'' and a 1500. That gives you 80 amps of fusing and more surface area as well. Or even better a single 18'' and 70 amps of fusing.
  11. IMO you will need more surface area. Thefordmccord's wagon didn't like a street setup and it was 4 15's and 2 3000ds. That car is hard to get headrest scores out of but driveby is where that vehicle is at.
  12. Here ya go. From what I can tell scores at the headrest are usually down compared to the dash. Here is what the meter stand looks like. http://www.mecacaraudio.com/2009mecarulebo...Stand%20p47.pdf Your right that the scores are usually down from the dash to the headrest, but MECA competitiors build their cars to be loud at the headrest while Db Drag competitors build thier cars to be loud at the dash. There really isn't a fair comparrison unless you were to swap sub boxes. I've heard quite a few MECA guys say that their cars actually get quieter at the dash then what they do at the headrest. Please prove me wrong by showing a 2 or 3 db gain from your headrest to the dash. I know in my car with the dash score I'm almost 3 db down at the headrest, but that's not where I have it set up to peak at. Valid point. If you want to be competitive then build for the org. you compete in, it makes since. Also I wasn't talking about a huge difference maybe a db or so. This also depends on the vehicle more than anything. I know my car would go down at the dash because I am tuned low and my box is not designed for dash scores. Me and my team were actually going to see what we all did at the dash but just haven't had a chance yet. I do know though my teammate Derek who has an explorer with 2 sundown ns 12's and 2 1500's does a 150.5 at the headrest and a 151.7 on the dash with the same setup.

  14. BDunn23 did do a 150 out of the trunk last year I was there and witnessed it. He also beat me and I was in the same class s1. I got 3rd. Here is a link if you don't believe. http://www.mecacaraudio.com/eventresults.aspx?eventid=768 I had 2 10'' hdc3's on 2 sundown 1500's but could only post a 146.9. That was at 34hz though and the setup I ran daily. I got it to do a 147.5 before but that was with great weather and not 30 degrees like at MECA finals. These scores also were at the headrest and not the dash.
  15. I want to see some numbers or one installed im anxious for results!
  16. They make those get one.
  17. 85 dollars is crazy but that is for 1 hat. If you had a bulk order of say 50 they would be allot cheaper like 30-35 and say 100 would be 20-25 iirc. I think that would be pretty reasonable for a custom hat being I looked at sports hats and they were 25-35 depending. Im sure they would also be cheaper if they were just plain black hats not strechfit or fitted but that seems to be what people like the best.
  18. Well actually went to a website and created the hat just to see the cost, and it kind of scared me. It was 85 dollars for one, but as you buy more and more of course it gets cheaper. Here is the idea 4 with a mesh flexfit
