I got a zx2500 in super mint condition for 475 shipped. I would say a zx2500 could go anywhere from 450-550 used and a I acutally seen a kx2500 for 390 shipped

Well bad news one blew today. Mark said that the zx2500 might be a little to much for them on daily driving.

Ya I got about 5 things left until the whole car is complete. 1. Get double din HU 2. Monotone it (get the front and back bumper painted black and the piece i had to get replaced back to black) 3. Rims 4. Alarm 5. darker tint Then the car will be COMPLETELY finished!

Ok after running into a couple problems throughout the install I finally got everything up and running! It is LOUD! lol Being my first real audio setup I am very pleased with the products I have purchased. Just waiting on my PG RSD'S to come in install them and everything will just about be done! heres pics and a couple of videos. (black grille, smoked headlights,tinted front windshield 30%, took off roof racks, and shaved all emblems)

Ya I dont know if its the acutally woofer. cause when i smell the outside like the cone and dont smell anything and its just a little warm. but when i smell inside the port its bad. Could it be ex excess glue or resin or w/e is used the seal up the boxes that i could be smelling?

well I got my 2 15" icons running off a zx2500. How well can they take it on clean power? I can beat mine for about a good 10 min then they start to give a little smell out. I have the bass boost off and gains only set 1/4 of the way. On one song today I even heard it pop. Looked like from over excursion or something ( if thats what makes them pop). I am getting a buddy of mine that owns a shop to see what he thinks and if the smell is the voice coils.

after long hard day of installing and uninstalling and installing i think i have found the problem! I had no fuse up under the hood. Had a fuse holder but forgot to put the fuse back in. so the whole time the zx2500 was just being power by the kinetik 2400 in the rear. With no charging or anything. I just through the fuse in up front and gonna let it charge up. The kinetik was resting at like 11.5

I dont have a dmm or oscilioscope. I am gonna put some 1/0 gauge in today. We will see from there

But ya but wouldnt that have an effect on low volumes to? This is only at high volumes gains set about 1/4 the way. It plays 25/34 just fine and thats still pretty loud its just when i got to 29/34 which is the max listening volume it goes into protect

I am pretty sure the subs are fine. Full listening volume for me is 29/34 thats when it goes into protect but when i drop it down to 25/34 its fine and its still pretty damn loud at 25. Ya i ran out of 1/0 gauge. Think the 4 gauge could be the problem? and what you mean wired backwards?

Well I was driving around my area full tilt today no problems. But when i took my 20 min drive to work after about 15 min of playing full tilt it starts going into protect. Only when its loud though. Anyone know what could be the problem? I double checked all my wiring im pretty sure its all right the fact that it only goes into protect at the loudest volume. My thinkings are though Could my rca's put out a bad signal? I am only running 4g to my ground could that not be effecient enough? I dont have my wired fused coming off the second battery but the distance is very short could that be the problem? Also earlier i did accidently put the power wire into the ground input slot. I cant figure out whys its doing this. If my wiring was bad wouldnt mess up at low volumes to? It only goes into protect whens its up just about all the way. But not full on protect just the green kinda fades into the red then back to green then fades into red

Should i fuse the positive coming off the battery to the amp? even though its only like a foot long

Ya i know its just usually i have alot of stuff in my truck like skateboards and tools and chit and my last sub had a whole poked right through it. so I just keep them up for the sake of my subwoofers and i dont want a skateboard hitting up against the speakers

Just installed the amp and did a couple test tones only bass since I dont have my 4 channel and its LOUD! Couple questions though. As I was wiring everything up I was not paying close enough attention and accidently put the ground wire into the 12v input on the amp and it made a huge spark and a little smoke came out. After that the amp still worked fine though. But good that have cause any damage internally? Like at all? What could it have done. Also do I need to fuse the positive wire coming off the battery into the amp. I was pretty sure I didnt have to since its only like a 1 foot distance. Anyways here the pics
