  1. are you using a high quality loc??? cache cloc-d is a pretty piece. fyi i never encourage people to do systems with locs. not that it cant be properly installed and sound good, its just that i dont believe people should be spending all that money, and not buy a quality receiver.
  2. you can set your gains by ear if you think it is too complicated because you wont need to gain match since you only have 1 amp..... as for wiring series parallel that bitch. also for setting your bass eq, set it at 0. subsonic depends on you and what you play. since you are putting them in a sealed box with less power than rated you could keep it low or even off-25hz. x over should be set according to how much frequencies you wanna catch. do you have midbass driver??? if not set it at around 65-80hz. hope that helps
  3. hey man, make sure your installer knows how to build a correct box... thatll make the difference. make sure he is not just cramping that 18 in.
  4. got a friend here in hawaii that did 152.x sealed with 2 15s non walled on their 8k amp. . pretty damn decent.
  5. you just gotta troubleshoot bro.. its gotta be either your electrical, signal, h/u, amp, or sub shorting out your amp. narrow it down. did you meter your sub to see if its at the right ohm load? try borrow a friends amp and sampo. try swap the h/u? check the voltage and monitor it. do at least something so we can help you.
  6. hey there, dumb thread but i will say that if you sit in the passenger seat of a 180db vehicle sealed tuned at 60-75hz burped for 10 seconds if you dont die, you will have severe brain damage a nuts headache and youll most likely be bleeding somewhere outta your head.
  7. hey argent that is a solid box build. glad you dont skimp out on anything. thats a solid baffle and should have not one bit of flex. keep up the good work
  8. very nice there. although building a bigger box will drop mechanical power handling i think youll enjoy the extra output.... make a vid with the new box....

  10. it all depends, but ive heard many systems with sub up and port back and they sound cherry, get loud, and put out decent numbers on the tl.
  11. the inked and the lower models are doots, but ive heard the fmj at it sounded decent with alot of bass.
  12. full metal jacket. skullcandy
  13. why does your amp have to be run at 2 ohms when you didnt even pick your woofers yet???
  14. you could build an aperiodic enclosure.... get a lil more low end. i know you were looking to go active, but if you decide to just go passive again try take a listen to some rainbows.
  15. brandon i told you approx 75-85..... also reason being that port area would be too much is his box would need to be hella big at a low tuning port would be a mile long and he has a small car. i just gave my insight as a reference. i also stated that you should retune from that point. i never said 15-17 per is the magic number, nor did i state that t/s specs dont come into play when building a box. all you guys rag on my because im from hawaii. GUESS WHAT MUTHAFUKAS I DO LIVE BY A VOLCONO DIAMOND HEAD FTMFW
  16. try a z15 from sundown sealed. or some SSAs sealed. I recently heard an alumpro setup i really liked. it was sealed as well.

  19. all in all, brandon daily go with his idea and sue his ass for the cost of the wood you wasted. lol use winisd and see.
  20. um no i think you build the box then pick the sub... lol no shit.
  21. no i think it would be better to listen to duran, 29sq inches of port per cube sounds spot on for a DAILY SYSTEM.
