  1. Alright, your original post kinda confused me a little. I thought the pair was seeing only 1500 watts. But after looking up your amp specs i'm now assuming they're getting 3000. You do have 2 ohm dvc subs wired in parallel for a final load of 1 ohm right? If so, it sounds like you're getting all you can out of them. You should turn the sub sonic filter on the amp down to about 25 hz though. IIRC, it should be set to a few hz's below tuning. It won't get you to where you want to be but still, it's set to high. Let me know how you like the BL's. Peace...
  2. I don't know what size sub your using now because you didn't specify. But i recently went from four 10's sealed to a single 15" tuned to 28hz and i'll never go back... Love the lows! It's 15"+ or bust from here on out for me
  3. Nice catch MTA! How do you have the sub wired Chris? Test it and make sure it's wired to 1 ohm. You should have a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub wired in parallel to do so. Wiring diagrams for subs
  4. Try this and see if it helps... No EQ No sound processing Set the + sub to zero Set the amp bass boost to zero (Unless you want to use it. If so, set it to whatever you like first, then adjust the gain)
  5. Not sure on what enclosure you have them in... But if haven't already, put them in a ported box tuned low. You'll get alot more output on the lower frequencies which it sounds like what you want. Perhaps you can build it to be a good home for the BL's too if you decide to go that route. Also, i have the same amount of power pushing a single 15" Q with the BP power option and it's happy. You should buy another amp to double your power and see if that does it for you. It wouldn't be a waste because if you want two BL's you're gonna need to double the power that your running anyways. And this way, you might end up saving yourself from losing some money on the sale of the subs. It's what i do anyhow... *shrugs*

This is gonna be gay but... 109!!! Yay?
  8. This all reminds me of a funny story. About 12 years ago when i knew nothing about audio a friend gave me his 15" sub to hold onto while he was away. So i decided to hook it up to my home tuner and see what that puppy could do. The tuner was rated at 110 watts into 8 ohms but I have no idea how the sub was wired. Needless to say, it absolutely pounded! Like nothing i've ever heard before! For 15 minutes i had a smile on my face from ear to ear! That was before all the sparks and stuff, lol... Explaining to him how i blew up his baby would have sucked, but i never had to do it. He was doing 3-5 FTW! To this day i don't think he's ever asked me what happened to it. And ironically, i don't think he'd care right now cause he's doing another stretch in the pokey. I guess it just feels like home, FTL...
  9. In all my years using New Egg the service has been nothing but stellar. Never bought a refurb from there though so...
  10. Check this out... http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=12950 $300 gets you one shipped to your door...
  11. I voted for the t-line pretty much for the same reason why John did, to be different...
  12. WTF is up with all those posts by SSAUDIO at 11:02pm... SPAM?
  13. This is why i do not hang from cliffs
  14. Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! I am looking to be in the battery business... Sort of. I want to recycle/resell, more or less, good used batteries. And i don't want to buy/sell junk so i'm looking for a way to assess the condition of the batteries on site at different locations. In what ways can i do that in a acceptable manner? Is the load testing equipment that is used at the automotive shops my only option or is there another way?
  15. Ya, i know they can do it, but i want to do it for myself. Especially because i have a need to do it about 30-40 times a month. I probably can troll their stores/shops and see what they use which i just might, but i was hoping someone knew of something less industrial and cheaper. Anyone else have any ideas?
  16. I want to test the cranking amps of my batteries... Does anyone know what equipment i can buy to do that?
  17. If you are on a tight budget i'd suggest you go with some Kicker CVR's instead of the Alpine type R's. They're alot cheaper and sound great. Look on eBay for the best deals on them...
  18. The HP dv6353us for $679.00 looks good to me and i don't think you'll find much more for your money. It's the first one from your second link.
  19. I don't know where all the 12" sub votes are coming from. You seem to want a 15" and have the space for it so... Go for it!
  20. Looks good... Now you just gotta finish the job and wrap the whole truck!

Bump for a nice guy and a great product!
  22. I don't understand it all right now but i'd probably go with this bundle unless told otherwise... Are these ammeters useful in car audio? Do they hinder the electrical system in anyway? I have to admit i think it would be sexy as hell having one. It just appeals to the car audio nerd in me i guess...
  23. A few links for stuff i found... Measures Volts and Amps... Is this any good? $5 cheaper than Stinger and comes in different colors that can be turned on/off. (4th digit probably isn't needed.) Only $10... Now we're getting somewhere! Buy 2 and send me 1 free? (Blue like Stinger but has the 4th digit.) If anyone has any experience using different sampling speeds on these, which is the least annoying to the eye?
  24. I'm also looking for one and curious to see what other people are using. As far as the Stinger model goes big, i've seen others for cheaper and would probably go that route. Kinda wish i knew what was actually needed spec wise out of one of these things so i could try and compare brand "A" against brand "B". Oh well, if you grab it let me know how you like it
