Alright if my Duralast sits at 12.6v and the Kinetiks at 13.1v and they're all wired in parallel, do you think the Duralast is bringing my voltage down? If so I was thinking about switching the Duralast to a Kinetik HC800. Does that sound like a good idea?

Alright my friend just ordered one for his 06 GTO. I'm building a sealed box to sit on the hump in the floor behind the center console, firing up. We got an MTX Thunder TA3202 for $103 shipped... 200x1@4 ohms bridged. Hopefully that will do it justice.

Are they 4 ohm SVC? How much port area?

Bah. If 14.4v is max, then I'm not sure I'm going to bother. When I start it up cold I get 14.2v, then it usually drops to 14.1 or 14.0 after a while.

Okay Nate said the highest he would go is 15.5v at the alternator. I have a size 65 Duralast Gold and two Kinetik HC1800's. What do you think a good setting at the alternator would be?

What's the highest voltage I can give a SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4? I'm giving them between 13.8 and 14.2 volts in park before voltage drop and the lowest I've seen it drop is 13.2 volts while playing at max. I'm considering a voltage regular for my EA 250A alternator. I may be adding another 1000D btw.

There will not, until the new models are out the 1000D is the current model - they will still be available for some time. eh worth a shot lol. I'll probably get another 1000D before they're discontinued.

Will there be a decrease in price on SAE-1000D's to get rid of the old stock? (if so I'm all over it)

The bass knob for my SAE-1000D is really stiff and difficult to turn. I'm afraid that if I try to turn it it's going to rip the screws out of my cheap plastic dash. I have a Kicker bass knob that's much looser and easier to turn. Can I use the Kicker knob on my SAE-1000D?

Yeah but the manual wasn't very detailed. I didn't really know what they were talking about. I got mine on ebay for like $145 shipped.

Okay I just put it in my new 5000 and I have two amps... Sundown SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4. Well I have two sets of RCA cables going to the 100.4, one set going from the front preouts on the 5000 to channels 1 and 2, and the other set is going from the rear preouts on the 5000 to channels 3 and 4. For some reason I'm not getting any music out of the rears. I can hear a very faint "tv snow-screen" type of sound coming out when I have my ear up to one of the speakers, but that's it. Anyone know what's going on?

Doesn't that thread just show you how to set the gain without an oscope? I want to use my oscope to set the gain.

Okay I ordered it. When it come sin we'll see how much power I can get out of that 1000D, and if I'm able to turn it up more, I'll just get another 1000D.

Maybe I should get an oscope before I do anything to make sure I'm getting full power. There's a VELLEMAN HPS10 going for $125 on ebay... Item number: 180023929587
