Finally got my stereo installed
Very nice gear! On a side note, get the amps mounted with a couple of more screws, it looks like they used 2 per amp.. That is not acceptable for a professional shop.

Reccomended enclosure size for SD-1v2 10"
Got the sub today. :bigclap: Seems like a very solid little woofer. What can I expect for power handling in the .75f3^ enclosure? should I polyfill? I have time to get this all worked out as my car will be built next week and it will not arrive till the end of the month. Thanks all once again. David

Reccomended enclosure size for SD-1v2 10"
Sounds good! My Celica is running MB Quart in the front, Rockford 6.5's in the rear, 2 FI audio X series 12 in IB and a 25 to life Power 1000 powering everything. I love the SQ! The mini will be stock for now except for the SD-1v2 and the SAE-1000. The mini stock boost system has a flat response down to about 60hz so the single 10 should blend well with it.

Reccomended enclosure size for SD-1v2 10"
Not from Germany but in Germany Aber jetz im Mannheim. Ich arbeite im Wiesbaden. P-Dizzle, Thanks! but will it be ok with 600w Rms? cool, i'm from Gruendstadt if you know that (between k-town and mannheim) now with tye and me that's 3 ppl over here i know using sundown I drive by Gruenstadt almost every Sunday on the way to Kaiserslautern. Sometimes the wife and I go to Globus there because we don't have crap in Mannheim. Yes, I have the SAE 1000 waiting for my MINI to arrive. I have a BL 10 I was going to use but it needs too much airspace for the MINI and my other option is a RE SE 10 but I just found the SD-1 for cheap. What are you running?

Reccomended enclosure size for SD-1v2 10"
Ok I searched and couldn't find a thread about the 10" SD-1v2's can anyone give me a suggested enclosure size for a single one sealed? I will be running it with my SAE-1000 at 8ohms if I get it.. Thanks!! David

IB specific line? Do tell.
How will these compare to the X series? I am presently running the 2 X series 12's in my Celica IB and Love it but I would be scared to send them more than the 300w I am giving them at the moment. (I have about 900w on tap but refuse to wire them that way)

Single 10 setup, FIQ or SSA Icon
I am debating something similar but with "sealed" looking at about .7f3^ any opinions? 10" SSA, 10" SSD, or 10" Q. I have a Sundown SAE-1000 for power. I only want sub bass as my Cooper has a nice flat sound with stock gear but the roll off is around 45-50 hz http://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forum...light=frequency

Box Build for MikeMartin
Man, I love how you can tuck the carpet on it!

sae1000d wiring
I think what you are asking is what terminals on the amp to use, correct? The positive and negatives on the mono amps are connected together inside the amp so it doesn't matter which ones you use. Just use the ones that are easiest for you.

remote gain knob needed
Anyone have an extra remote knob laying around that they could spare? I am in the final stages of putting together my system for my Mini and got a great deal on a 100d but it was missing the knob. Any help would be appreciated. David

Build plan
This is kinda the rough idea I had. I size will be determined by the space behind the seats of the mini. Box will be on one side of th ecar and the exit for the port on the other. (port is red area) Please feel free to tear it up!

I received my BL yesterday.. Oh my, this thing is a beast! This is the 1st BL I have actually seen in person or even lifted! LOL I think My entire baffle with the 2 X series in my celica are not at heavy as this little thing! Mad props to FI on the crazy stuff you guys build! on a side note, I will probably have my MINI in Nov-Dec!

amp decision help
This is the exact same thing I have been pondering for a single BL 10" I have been pondering the RF t10001bd as well as the RF T1500-1bd (but the 1500 is a little out of my price range) Also the Sundown 1000 seems to fit the bill.

Build plan
well I think with that much power it would probably over power the rest of the car. I will leave the option of a larger amp in the amp rack build when I do it. All still in the planning phase so I do have the time to try things till I put it in the final car. If it sounds anything like my X's in IB I will happy either way!

Build plan
Kinda digging that Idea, slot port running under the amp rack to the other side of the car. How big do you think it would need to be H X W if it could be 44" long? lol

Build plan
Yes, I know but has anyone built a box on the small end of the spectrum? How did it sound?

My baby died! ESX Q60.4
LOL ESX is no longer in business. check the net my man! esx is in business just not in america. they are going strong in germany in fact i have two esx signum woofers in and a q404 in my truck that i purchased from them and those woofers a beasts! the amp is clear as sunny day for my highs. heres a link for one store that carries their stuff its in german but i am sure that if you email them somebody would try to respond in english...money talks! Not the same ESX, I think this was a sore subject when I talked to Steve about 10 years ago. The Name was purchsed but the products will NEVER be the same as the original ZED Audio ESX. The company TRIED to recreate the Quantum series but failed after MANY people contacted them thinking it was int he same hands as it was then. The present products are still solid but will never be like the original ESX.

Build plan
Ok I am about 10-11 months from buying a 2009 Mini Cooper S (waiting because I will pay cash) so I have started my plan for the low end. I have a 10" BL on the way and plan to run it of of a Fosgate 25 to life Punch 150 (birthsheet states >800w rms) I want to keep the box small but want good bottom end I am looking at around .5- .7 ft^ Has anyone run the BL in a small box like that? Any problems or chalenges? I can go larger if need be as the car will not be a grocery chaser but my commuter car BUT I want to still have space in the tiny trunk area for the times the wife and I need to put something back there. As you can see I have time to change the plans but the BL is on the way and I have the Punch 150 so those items are in stone. The rest of the system will be stock with the Harmon Kardon 8 speaker option with the 230w amp. Thanks all for any opinions/comments and or ideas!
