Box any everything for $250 for a w7 is a great deal. As much as I love my Icon, I don't think I'd pass that up.

I do like sealed enclosures, but if you want to bump, this is the wrong enclosure for you. really? the thing is that i use my hatch a LOT, so making the enclosure bigger is going to take up more space, what kind of dimensions you think i would have to have for a ported versus a sealed There is no sure fire answer. I'd figure on doubling the size from sealed to ported. Have you thought about using 2 drivers in a sealed enclosure?

I'd do the computer case fans. Look around at Xoxide for them. They have all kinds of sizes to choose from. Have you thought about using a relay? http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#rtol Why is it that you don't want to have a 12v signal?

I was going to chime in and say you DO NOT need a BTL. What is your musical preference? From the way you talk, I would suggest a SSD, or a Q. Have you thought about a pair of Dcon's from SSA audio? A pair of sealed 10's would be great. But before I get a head of myself, what is your musical preferences?

No. I used a two part epoxy at from Lowes. Worked great.

I can't find the video Nick posted but all he did was smash the dust cap with the end of a screw driver. DON'T get any plastic down in the motor though.

You're not going to want to put boxes in the kicks. It would be a terrible idea. If you want to go that route I suggest learning to fiberglass.

... since when are kicker amps not rated @ 1ohm? As long as I can remember the ZX series has been 2ohm stable. A 1500w amp is a 1500w amp though.

I'd go with a newer small footprint PS2. Who cares if someone steals that. Like you said, you're only out $50 at max. The 360 on the other hand...
