I'm hoping to do every bit of my processing with my PRS880. I want this to be as clean and clutter free as possible. Probably going to have someone weld me up a custom amp rack for my 2 Sundown amps and have that be my only thing in my trunk.

I'd say your best bet would be 2 12" ported then. Look at the Sundown Audio Nightshades, the Mach5 SPL, and the Fi BTL. What do you have for an amp? Electrical upgrades?

Also, I've sold the Icon to my buddy and decided to go sub less on this install. So now we can 100% focus on the important part of the stereo.

Well, sorry for the delay! Things have been pretty crazy the past few weeks. Today, however, I did manage to cut some paper rings and roughly tape them up. What I thought would be a problem, doesn't look to be much of one. Here are the images, so you can decided. The top ring is 4" in diameter and the bottom ring is 5" in diameter. The first picture is with me sitting in the drivers seat. The second image is from the passengers POV. The last picture is from standing outside of the passenger door.

What is your max usable air space for a box? Not the largest external box you can fit, but internal volume.

I'd use dynamite.

It had a bad coil. But i found 2 original recones on ebay for 20 bucks each Do it to it! You can't beat that deal. Free subs and $20 to recone?!

You might have trouble finding a recone for that, and if you do I bet Rockford wants an arm and a leg.

You pay for what you get, this is true in every aspect of life (mostly). Just keep that in the back of your mind.

I think we need to take a step back, breathe, and figure out what your ultimate goal is for the system. You're never going to get an answer with that question. Just because a trunk has X cubic feet, does not mean that you can use it all. BUDGET? LISTENING PREFERENCES? EXPERIENCE? GOALS? Let's go from there.

If it's stable at 2ohm, I would be very hesitant to run it lower. It's rated for a reason. If you do take that chance and fry it, you have voided the warranty. EDIT: Your amp went into protect for a reason. It's not worth the risk, is it? Run it at 4ohm, or sell the amp and buy new.

I hear ya there!!!! the one I have here WILL NOT CLOG We are talking like 4 bananna peels down the shoot, and multiple HORRID nights, and 6 mths till the pipes clogged.........Toilet never did J The one I have in my room here at school is just epic. It seriously laughs at my best attempts. Sometimes I feel self conscious and pathetic after giving it my all, only to have no effect on it.
