If you have access to the vehicle the best bet is to take measurements of it. What's the center console like? Have you considered building a center console sub?

Are you looking at doing a slot port, or aero?

In a passive set up the crossover is set at a certain point. You can't adjust it (the crossover block). In an active set up you can "actively" adjust the crossover points in your system, whether it be at the headunit, amplifier, or an external processor. Going active will (usually) give you better sound IF SET UP PROPERLY.

I think for what you want I would go with setup 1. Fi's new line is an infinite baffle sub, which would not be suited for your goals.
