  1. Okay, I assume all of those gray things are vents. And if so we would need the depth on them. I think that you might be best off having someone design you a box. The tuning frequency is going to be based off of the volume of your enclosure and the port dimensions. Are you wanting this to be a box you would listen to music on, or burp with?
  2. If you have the pictures, post 'em up. We can have a better idea what you're working with then.
  3. Could you draw up something in photoshop or paint showing what the box is going look like with your plans. Doing what you are saying (and how I'm interpreting it in my head) might cause unfavorable results.
  4. Jon, have you got yours metered yet?
  5. Ugh, that sucks.
  6. Looks great. What else do you have to do to this? Estimated finish time?
  7. What an evil machine~! designed by lucifer himself~ Haha, I loooooove it!
  8. What type of room do you have, dimensions wise?
  9. The only time I'd imagine something bad would happen is if it was REALLY cold and, like you said, your sub had frost on it. It probably wouldn't hurt to let it 'warm' up before you really wang on it. Although, I could be wrong. They might be just fine whenever.
  10. I figure with a blow through you were going for SPL. What do you want out of this one? I've heard one of those Boston SPG's, they are pretty nice.
  11. That's awesome. I wish I could find a nice, clean CRX Si someday.
  12. What kind of cardio did you do? Usually the stair master on the highest level for 30 minutes. Some days I rode the stationary bike though.
  13. Any updates on this?
  14. All of those are good choices. I use AVG and Ad-aware primarily. Most good routers now-a-days have a good firewall in them to prevent a lot of things. Although, in my opinion the best defense is being smart. Be careful what you click on, and always be careful with email. An email came from my dad the other day that was way too suspicious for me to click on. So I called him and he told me that he never even sent that email! EDIT: To answer your question (lol) you should be fine putting a disk into your old computer and moving the files. Also, I used to have three separate partitions on my main hard drive. I have my Windows, my music, and my pictures. This way, although no fool proof, if something goes wrong with my Windows partition I can format it without losing my music and pictures. NOW I have three separate HD's for this task, which I believe is the best thing I've done.
  15. Like everyone said, it's too hard to tell just of specs. You're either going to have to buy both and see which one you like more, or just go with what you want and pick one!
  16. Could be connected to the house.
  17. Yo!

Haha, oops! I think I clicked on this at the main page while seeing a new member one. Oh well...
  18. I know this is old, but I too use MPC and the K-Lite codec pack. And if there is anything that MPC doesn't play, I bust out VLC. >
  19. Yo!

Welcome! If you're looking to upgrade, make sure you state your goals, listening preferences, budget, and car. Then we can help you from there!
  20. We thought the same thing. Only for movies and big sporting events. Now I only turn on the living room TV about once a month. Otherwise we are in the theater room watching our favorite shows in glorious 720p high def on a 103" screen. The sloped ceiling isn't a bad thing. In fact, it should help on acoustics. -Robert Yeah, I just figured without a sloped ceiling he would be able to get his screen a little higher off of the ground.

  22. Your port doesn't have to be 20 inches straight, it could be 10 deep and 10 to the side. An 'L' shaped port.
  23. Why don't you save up and do it right the first time?

The sub has been purchased for some time now. Is there any downfall to running just one coil?
