If you were looking for a truck around $7000 +/- what would you look for? I had it at a Tacoma or a Ranger, but the T100 popped up local here. Truck truck? Or are you open to other styles of vehicles? Really looking for a truck. Might consider a smaller SUV though. I want something that I can lift a little bit, throw some bigger tires on, and be able to go where ever (within reason) in the woods I want to. I've heard that it's not really a movie for Trekkies. JJ Abrams was never a trekkie, I don't know that he ever really watched the show. He wanted to make a movie for everybody. I would not put two 15s in a ported box any less than 6 cubes. Especially with that semi-high tuning (for me), you're going to get quite a peak in response around 45 hz. If you build a larger box it will help smooth that hump out.

That's twice the rated RMS of the subs anyways, so there isn't a lot that going with 4 instead of 6 cubes will do for you. I'd say just build the box to whatever size you want in order to get the sound you want and limit the power based on that. You'd have to do that with a 4 cube box anyway.

We can't really tell you the exact gain setting and the exact volume setting to be on. If the sub stops getting louder or starts making a thin, dull, flappy kind of sound, you've gone too far.
