Doesn't it make you wonder how many subs it would take to do that as you drove by some ones house? NO. I could give a fuck less, my music is for me. I don't have some little penis I need to compensate for and annoy the world by driving by them and alerting them to my presence. x2.
  2. x2. There are some sub companies who do make good recommendations, though. I expect Fi to be one of them. Proper box depends on a lot of things, many of which are user preferences. Do you like underdamped or overdamped enclosures, high or low tuned ported enclosures, do you want something that plays certain frequencies well or one that plays evenly from 20-80 hz, etc.
  3. Maybe make a couple of 2d sketches to show the contraption at different angles, then we can piece it together in 3d in our heads? I'll just say to make sure that you allow enough airflow around the enclosure for the subs so that the air tunnels don't act as a second port. Plus you don't want one of those situations like some people run into who use too big of a box facing backwards in the trunk, the bass just gets stuck behind the enclosure and isn't as loud as it could be if facing forward. That back wall will also have to be VERY solid, because it will try to dissipate a lot of the energy as vibrations if it can. Good luck though.
  4. Are you sure it's from turbulance and not from the increased port area? Two 6" ports do have over 1.5 times the port area as three 4" ports.
  5. It can push them fine. You'll just probably want to get your one reconed to a dual 1 and buy a dual 1 so that you can wire the amp at 1 ohm and get the most out of it.

Had the first basketball game of the spring season tonight. We got beat by the best team in the league, but hopefully we'll win the rest of the games. aaaaaand I'm spent.

Just had a bolt of lightning followed by a HUGE thunderclap. At first the thunder was just loud and cracking and I thought it was about over, then all of a sudden it just dropped and BOOOOOOOM and it shook the house. aaaaaaawesome.

I'd try the ported box, tuned to 30 hz. It may surprise you.

go on ebay and see what they're going for.
  12. That JL FAQ question is talking about putting output wires from the clean sweep into factory amps. So if you go head unit - clean sweep - factory amp - speakers: It may not work. You're supposed to go head unit - clean sweep - aftermarket amp - speakers. If you just went from head unit - clean sweep - speaker, you just don't have any power going to the speaker because the factory head unit only puts out a signal, not actual power to power the speaker.

That box looks to be 2 cubes, not even close to large enough for that 15". Port is too small as well. It probably sounds terrible.

I don't think that's a good price, but I'd never buy an L7. But it does come in a ported box so maybe it's not actually a bad deal. Did he tell you the specs on the box? Your electrical system should be fine, if this is going in the F-150.
  15. The dustcap won't matter.
  16. That's due to exactly what Tirefryr was talking about.

The long par he made on 15 sealed it for him I think. After that bunker shot, he seemed pretty perturbed, but the putt seemed to bring his swagger back. That guy has got to be one of the toughest mental specimens on the planet. No doubt.
  18. usually .7 or .8 on a 1 ohm coil.

Tiger's win today was another epic turnaround. Won with a birdie from 15 feet on the 18th hole. Granted he got help from O'hair, but he started the day 5 strokes back. The putt was even more awesome because as he set up for the putt the first time, somebody yelled at him from the crowd. He stepped back, crouched and looked at his line again and got refocused, stepped up for the second time, and nailed it.

man I love how my arms look after a workout. Too bad they don't stay that way.
  22. I used to love Orion amps, the HCCA, G4, XTR, and XTRPro amps were awesome. Their amps of the last few years haven't been as good, but hopefully along with bringing back the old namesakes they brought the quality as well.

A buddy of mine has Sirius in his Jeep. Personally I love it. Good variety and only lose signal in underpasses and parked under metal roofs. J My brother has Sirius and he says he likes it.
  24. Cooling method: convection. haha, sounds real innovative!

Somehow Topeka, 20 miles west of here, got snow today, and Olathe, 20 miles east, got 3", but we got none. Had some ice collect on trees, vehicles, and such but luckily none formed on the roads.
