do you know how you're going to attach it together now after you cut it?

(1) 15" vs (2) 12" Nightshades
Personally I would say its better to be safe then to be sorry. I would just get the 2 12s but other might say differently. You also have to get another box as well and its a hassle to do all that measuring and deciding which box to get. I don't disagree, but if the volume knob is handled properly that single sub will survive on that amp forever. Conversely, bad volume control could even blow two of the subs on that amp. So you're not gaining a foolproof setup just by switching to two subs.

Started thinking.......
There should be the same current draw between the two. One 3000 watt amp will draw the same power as two 1500 watt amps if efficiencies are the same. I don't know how you have more wiring options with two amps rather than one though? They'll still put out the same power either way unless you need a different impedance load, e.g.- one dual 2 sub to one 3000d or two dual 2 subs to one 1500d each.

rattling like noise with fiQ18
Also try taking the sub out and looking under the cone where the former is glued to it and see if there's a gap in glue.

Just sayin thanks
Have you actually metered both setups? I switched from four 12's sealed to one 15 ported at 30 hz with the same amp and lost about 2-3 db peak but the ported 15" seemed more obnoxious because the lowend (30-40 hz) was louder. The 12's would peak at about 55 hz but the 15" at about 45 hz.

I agree on the bandsaw. I would also think that a fine-toothed blade would work best?

6,000 watts RMS AudioPipe Amps
I guess it really is a steal then.

everyone read leave opinion
Well it all depends on what the score was, if it was like 164 and went to 164.8, I'm sure you'd here some difference. Nope. And btw it would be easier to hear the difference between 100.0 and 100.8 but you still can't Yeah I was going to say that lower volumes would be easier if it were possible because at 164 your ears are so overloaded that they probably couldn't even tell a 5 db difference.

New setup
You can never have too much available power. You don't have to actually use all of the power that the amp is capable of.

6,000 watts RMS AudioPipe Amps
Yeah, a little too much of a steal.

I have a Question..
If you do put an enclosure in the backseat just remember to strap it to something. You don't want that thing flying around in case of an accident or you hitting the brakes hard or something.

Welcome to the IHoP
Their online menu says they do. *The last time I was there I would have been too poor to get it so I'm sure I glanced over it without a second thought* Then you can get ice cream at Sylas & Maddy's downtown. mmm great.

Welcome to the IHoP
I had the itch to blow through LC's on my way up on Thursday and had planned on hitting Wheatfields for breakfast...but am open. Didn't realize you were in Lawrence. Free State Brewery is pretty good, and they brew their own beer. I've never tried it though. Genovese has interesting stuff. It's mainly italian, but you can get octopus and all kinds of weird stuff there. LaParilla is good for latin american. All of these places are downtown on Massachusetts Street. There's also Kobe japanese steakhouse & sushi, where I believe they do that whole make the food in front of you with a chef per table deal. I've never had wheatfields for breakfast (Miltons is where it's at for breakfast), but I'm not a huge fan of their lunch and supper stuff, mainly because they put a lot of different stuff together and I guess I'm more of a traditional guy. I can see how it's good to a lot of people, but I'm not one that wants cranberry relish on my turkey sandwich, etc.

time to lose weight.
See if you can't get your lady friend on your side. Explain your goals and strategies to her (I'm sure you probably already have) so that she won't go out and buy reeces pieces and things. These types of things are a lot easier when you have somebody in your corner, and honestly her actions are counterproductive. It'll be a bit tough on her too since I'm sure she does those things to try and make you happy since you used to like them so much, but let her know that you're changing and you have new things that would make you happy, like if she'd eat salmon patties with you.

300 amp fuse or not?
Well just remember that the fuse is there to protect the individual wire that it's on. So it doesn't matter if they are two different size fuses because the two wires are different size. Also, you should keep your stock wire there and just add the second one.

Arsenal 10"s failing??
Reading posts by that Rover guy on there is annoying because he used "d" instead of "the" all the time.
