  1. that's bs, I would be pissed. I imagine just the threat of going to court will have him settling. I hope so anyways. and I would take the money. no sense in letting him off for merchandise he probably paid less than 500 total for on a bill you got for over a grand. Not to mention all the hassle it caused you in the middle of the night and all.
  2. it'll sound good and loud.
  3. 50 hz IS retarded unless it's a strictly SPL competition box/vehicle. you will not like it on regular music every day. stick with 32 or so.

woke up at 2am last night to some loud banging. It sounded like it was coming from out my window, I figured a stupid neighbor got locked out. Asked my roommate about it and he said he didn't know, he didn't hear it. But he said it may have been him and his girl maybe, he said they got wild last night. haha. this chick was smokin' too. Damn, lucky bastard. Oh well, I'm happy for him. Plus if she comes around more often I get to see her more, too. Sorry, no pics. since I know you'll ask. It would be weird if I just walked downstairs and snapped a picture of her, haha.

damn I wish I could pull in some fish like that.
  6. I should get one... Remember this is without the system hooked up that it was happening as well. well it doesn't much matter if the system was on or not, if the alternator is dead it won't support the basic functions of the car. Take it to autozone, napa, etc. and have them run a test on it, they do it for free.

It does. I save over $100 per month with the price now vs. 3 months ago. It's so awesome seeing totals in the $30s instead of the $60s every week.

Didn't catch any rainbow trout last night . I'm so sad, I have been looking forward to that for MONTHS. had a few bites, but the way they were nibbling it was probably just some bluegill. Maybe they have all been fished out, since they only put 750 pounds of fish in two weeks ago. Might try again tomorrow.
  9. I just use cutters. You know those things that look like pliers but have cutting crimpers on the end. Works for both cutting the wire (though you'll probably have to divide the wire into smaller sections) and crimping. Most ring terminals have that slit down the middle, you can crimp one side at a time. But that's just me, I don't buy fancy tools just for cutting/crimping big wire since I do it maybe once every couple of years. I use what I can find
  10. I used one of the Dayton reference 8in in my car for some midbass, it was in a .5 cube sealed box, it had great sq but couldnt seem to handle that much power (maybe 200 rms) so i couldnt turn it up too much. Today i just ordered 4 of the E8s from the presale($60 each). i hope one of those will work out better than the dayton( i think the dayton needs a bigger box to perform better) how in the heck much power are you wanting to send these things? 200+ is crazy. if a midbass can handle 200 watts I'd say it's doing exceptionally well.

What about the BLT drives? Are they next? i believe MOSFETS are next im interested in those lil guys cuz i hear all this talk about MOSFET technology in amps and wanna know what they do They're basicaly an on-off switch for electronics. You'll prolly learn about the NPN and PNP transistors as well as what the anode and cathode is of the transistor. Things of that nature anyway. I've always been interested in these topics. If you like it, the class will be fast yet fun NPN nad PNP are BJTs. and i have learned the cathode and anode. and im not sure when we will get to BLT drives hehe. There are no such things as BLT drives. I guess you've never seen Hackers.

the gas shortage was a lie. Only a couple of the 170 or so refineries in this country shut down for a day or two. If that little hiccup affects the whole country that much, we seriously need to work on things. But it doesn't as much as the media portrays. North Carolina/south carolina/other states in that area charge more state taxes on gas than other states. That's why prices are higher over there.

good morning (for those in the states). I filled gas at 2.15 yesterday, wahoo! my has bill is half of what it was when I started work 3.5 months ago. wow. Apparently there are places in Texas at 1.98. I never thought we'd see sub-2.00 again.

  15. I'd just solder a remote wire on there with a quick disconnect a few inches from the terminal.

Good morning. Snow in western Kansas, glad I'm not over there anymore! I just hope it doesn't make its way over here. I want to go trout fishing tomorrow.

Well I guess you know what your body wants then. Less work, more sleep! I could never survive on 5 hours a night. When I only get 5 hours I'm usually fine and peppy the first day, but if I don't make it up that night I'm hammered the second day. My internal clock is so fixated that I hit a wall at 10:00 basically every day. It doesn't matter where I am- watching tv, at a movie, at a bar, etc.

He actually just made a post on the SI forum recommending NOT using the screws that come with it, haha. He says that they make the cover bulge. So just use some flat headed wood screws instead.

no, that was just for a nap. sleep less than 15 total minutes, or longer than 90.
  20. don't get 5 ways. 3 of those "ways" are a waste. Pioneer speakers are, for the most part, decent. Better than walmart, but not by a whole lot.
  21. with the tone you come across with, I'd pin you as 500 times more likely to do that.
  22. probably as high as 40-50 ohms. People apparently forget that impedence in the box is very frequency-dependent. It may only be 2 ohms at 30 hz, but it may bump up to 40 ohms at 45 hz. Here's an example:

Well my Mag came today, hooray. Too bad I don't know when I'll actually be able to get it. This is because the delivery guy didn't leave it at the front step, he took it to our townhouse complex's office and gave it to them. Oh, that sounds good and safe you might say. Until you find out that our office only has people in it sporadically, never before 9am and never after 4pm, and never on the weekends. I work in a town 30 minutes away from 7-5 every day. How am I going to get it from them?

To sum up, it's because of your sleep cycle. The grogginess and taking forever to truly wake up is a result of waking from the wrong stage of sleep. IIRC the normal person is on a 3 hour cycle, meaning it's best to get 3,6,or 9 hrs of sleep. but this varies hugely depending on the person. btw you can google the sleep cycles and see the different stages, i think there's 4. been a while since i've had that class There's actually a building nature on each sleep cycle, IIRC. I think it's like, for example, in your first cycle you have 90 minutes of stage 1-3 sleep, then 15 minutes of REM. Then on the next cycle, you maybe only have 80 minutes of stage 1-3 sleep, then 25 minutes of REM. It's something like that I believe. I just wish I could remember exactly. And I've always heard that you should sleep either less than 15 minutes or over 90. If you sleep under 15 minutes you don't get into deep sleep, which is when you feel groggy if you wake up in the middle of it. But after 90 minutes you've gone through a full cycle, and that's sort of a hump to go over in terms of waking alertness. But I would agree, you're just waking up in the wrong stage. But I do have a question for you, and that is when you sleep less than 5 hours are you tired earlier at night? If so, then that 5 hours isn't enough for you. What you really need to do is sleep until you naturally wake up. Do that a couple nights in a row to make up any sleep debt you may have, and on the last night however much you sleep is how much sleep you probably need every night. For me, I know I am getting enough sleep when I wake up naturally right before my alarm goes off. Actually I think it may just be that my internal clock is so good that it knows, and it hates the sound of my alarm as much as my conscious self does . But when I maybe cheat on getting to bed on time a couple nights in a row, I sleep until the alarm.
