the gf and i were discussing something to this nature last night. You all had to do matrices, right? Well we had to learn how to do them by hand.......why? why would you EVER be in a situation where you had to solve a matrices problem and you wouldn't have access to a calculator? Saw V?

That's why I asked if the knobs wouldn't turn it either up or down.

Pics from the trip in the Eastern Carpathians...
Looks awesome. I've always thought about living in the mountains. Just not ones like those where people drive on the wrong side of the road. That might be dangerous on those narrow mountain roads!

Welcome to the IHoP
Two things my parents did and it worked. 1) If I wouldn't eat something, I had no alternatives but to be hungry 2) Once it was on my plate I sat at the table until the plate was clean. I was there a long time, but my brother won that competition as he slept overnight at the table a couple of times. Obviously being consistent and in control are the most important things. Yep. Quite a few times I sat at the table for over an hour after everybody else had left because I didn't want to eat my fried chicken. Now I love it. I think bribing is about the worst thing to do because then they learn that they can get something good if they put up a fight for anything. *I don't have kids*

Not sure I understand, if it is a reimbursement then it isn't income but a business expense which you do not pay taxes on. I was thinking the same thing. I get reimbursed at work for travel expenses and I sure as hell am not going to pay taxes on it.

Welcome to the IHoP
Something I did earlier tonight: It's by no means perfect, but it's the first carving I have ever done. It was fun. Except for taking out the insides, that part was kinda gross. It was like pulling out brains or something.

Welcome to the IHoP
yep. I thought about taking the day off and calling in sick, but I'm too much of a straight arrow to do it when I'm not really sick.

That's how trains do it. Though they use diesel motors, obviously.

thinking about getting an account on etrade. Not sure I'd go for stocks as the market is insane right now, but I might toss in some soon to try it out. Thoughts? They have a savings account with 3.3% interest and you can instantly transfer from there to a brokerage account. That's like having a CD but without the set time frame. Sweet.- Phoenix Gold new vs old?
and those were the best. Titaniums were great.- Voltage Drop - is this good?
What size is your alternator? That's the real question that should be asked. If it's 300 amps, then no I wouldn't expect a drop at all. If it's 60 amps, then yeah that's weird at idle.- 4 door lambo pics
I like it. Though the windows could be a little taller.- stupid question
that's true. double the cone area is a 3 db increase. But since you're roughly halving the double, as rushrun calculated (44% increase), you may get 1.5 db increase. but that's if you keep the same power. If you double cone area and double power it should be 6 db (in rushrun's example).- Dr. Crankenstein
oh, nope. definitely not what I was thinking. The cone looks like the Power series that I remember, but the motor and basket are different. JBL must have radically changed the lines in the mid 90's. - Welcome to the IHoP
