no output to speakers
If you have another amp, put it in place of this one. It may be wiring or something.

Welcome to the IHoP
But in good news, the some medication I just started is also used to prevent malaria. Which is a bit random. It's kinda like if something said "Take this drug for headaches. But it will also prevent club foot as well." So I guess I can go to Africa now.

Stupid girls. tease tease lead on lead on, then "oh, the distance is too great for anything real to happen." I'm optimistic and will try things out before I pass judgment, why do you have to be so damn negative. Fine. I thought she was a five star chick but apparently not. Her complete and utter lack of being able to schedule anything more than 5 minutes in advance knocked her down to 4 star at most anyways. That shit's annoying.

How to determine enclosure frequency
Measure down the center of the port. If the port turns, measure to the center of the turn, then turn and go down the center of the last bit of port.
- Found my problem.

si mag claw d-2
Good sub. Is there anything specific you want to know about it? That setup should be pretty good.

Help with Box design!
Closing this because your new thread is much better.

Welcome to the IHoP
You know you can replace those seals yourself with about $50 worth of parts and $20 worth of tools and about 15 minutes of labor. Yeah that's what I was thinking too. I've never done repairs like this, but it looks like they can't be that hard. And I'm eager to learn this stuff, especially if it saves me a grand at the shop. Maybe when I go home for thanksgiving I can use the lifts at my dad's shop. All the tools are there too.

If I know 12" specs can I get 10" specs?
No. Even if it were you're going about it terribly incorrectly. 10" to 12" isn't a 20% increase. It's about 50%. Hint- surface area.

Time to go to the other shop to have them replace the cruise control cable that they broke while replacing the thermostat housing for free. Thanks douches.

Welcome to the IHoP
F the shop trying to tell me they needed to drop the transfer case and open it in half and replace all of the seals for $1,000. I looked myself and could easily tell that the only seals leaking are where the driveshaft input and output are. The center gasket is not leaking at all. 8+ hours labor, ha. Bitches. I may just watch it. From the looks of the fairly dried oil that's already on there, it has been leaking a while with little or no ill effects (can feel or hear none). So they can't be leaking that bad. Maybe I'll just top it off every week or two, I could certainly buy a bunch of cases of ATF to refill it for the grand they wanted to charge me. Has anybody had any luck with stop leak or seal refresher additives when seals leak like this?

Welcome to the IHoP
All '09 F-150's now have both the shocks and springs outboard from the frame; its one of their selling features I thought they've had that for a couple years already? At least I thought I remember seeing the commercials with Mike Rowe with two frames rocking, one with outboard and one with inboard shocks, showing the differences, quite a while ago.

Welcome to the IHoP
huh? Yeah I'm going to need a source on this one. Sounds a little too crazy Supposedly Friday, they are going to fire some munitions at the southern polar area. >> LCROSS Lunar Impact Yeah of course right after I posted that I went to msn.com and it was right there at the top. Those crazy NASAians.

Dry Ice And Car Air Box ;)
If you put dry ice in the air intake the car would just stall. That's it. It wouldn't have oxygen for the combustion process. It also wouldn't be compressed gas at all, the intake would just suck the carbon dioxide vapor into the intake as it sublimes. It wouldn't have long term effects like sugar in the gas tank. Actually I don't think gasoline hurts diesel vehicles that much unless you do it on purpose repeatedly. It's not good for them, but it's nothing like if you put diesel into a gasoline vehicle.

You should have gone to the Twins game. That was a crazy good game. I watched most of the 9th inning on.

18" BL Box Volume question...
The box cannot hurt your sub in any way. The only difference is how it will sound and the power you can apply to it. A larger box will be more efficient, play lower, and have a more even frequency response. If you want to chop the enclosure off a bit that's fine, just realize that you'll have to recalculate and adjust the port length needed to keep the tuning the same. But since you already have that box built, why not at least try it out first to see if you like it?

Welcome to the IHoP
I agree. This past spring I was looking at getting an Adrenalin Explorer. I just saw one today, and in person, it's just a gawdy ass truck. I also am not big on the huge front ends of the newer Ford trucks. I'm hoping they start toning it back down a bit. I don't know anybody who says they like it, so hopefully Ford receives this feedback and uses it.

Welcome to the IHoP
Glad to hear she's moving back, I'm sure that relieves some stress and makes it more enjoyable for you (well, unless you like being able to get rid of her for a week ). I'd like it anyways. But thanks for the input. I'm not the fling type, so that's good according to your thoughts.

18" BL Box Volume question...
It is outside of the recommended 5-8 cubic feet. It will reduce power handling, so be sure to be aware of that. If you want to get it down to 8 cubes, put some bracing inside to take up some space. You should probably do that anyways.

In order to find voltage output of an amp what 2 variables do I need?
You would have to know the exact efficiency of the amplifier as well as the exact input voltage and current to be able to calculate output power that way. Since you wouldn't have to know the efficiency of the amplifier if you measured at the outputs instead of the inputs, why not do it that way.

BTL Break-in??
No need for a break in. It will break itself in over time.

Which shallow subs to get?
Great! reading up on it now. Thanks for the suggestion. The BMs would be a good choice. The new Mags and BMs have the XBL^2 motor, which, if you haven't heard one, sound a bit different that other subs. They are very low distortion, which takes some getting used to. I had one of the new Mags but switched back to my 15" mag v.2 in a ported box because I just love the output and low end. The new Mags and BMs are in quite a different direction than the previous versions. They are really geared more to the SQ crowd with the low distortion, very even frequency response, and good blending with the mids.

BAGGED AVALANCHE LAY FRAME ON 30'S!!!!
I can appreciate the work that went into it, but I think it looks stupid.

Welcome to the IHoP
the new Raptor? If you do end up getting a Raptor you better not pussy foot around in it...remember reading about it in either Peterson's or Four Wheeler, they thrashed the piss out of one and it just begged for more...good to see OEM's churning out capable 4x4's from the showroom floor... Now if only Dodge had put the Cummins in the Power Wagon... Yeah the new one. With the 6.2 when it comes out. I have been reading and I think that engine will be AMAZING. 500HP, locking rear AND front diffs, 35" BFG A/T's, insane articulation, sounds like fun to me wasn't it 400 hp and 400 tq? 500 sounds fine though too. I think it would be great snuggled up with some turbos too. http://www.fordvehicles.com/f150raptor/ SWEET!
