  1. so like I had an hour long conversation with Mark a couple of weeks ago ...from what I heard the X-Con is going to be going into my install..... I got room for two 12" and a much bigger amp ..
  2. the saw blade looks cool.......keep them coming..........
  3. I need something that can be put on a Badge to Tag my enclosures.... so lets say a 2" by 6" space...give or take I can have it shrunk and blown up once I have the Logo so size doesn't have to be exact take in mind I have the use of an optic C and C so I need something that can be cut or engraved on ocassion I guess just post them up here...it'll make an intertesting thread
  4. the way I look at it if I go to the local graphic designer I'll pay in the $100 + range for a logo that comes from one train of thought..... this way there is a variety of Idea's and I'll have a MUCH better selection to choose from I'm willing to give up some material and build time to do it right
  5. I have been trying for months to come up with a good Logo for my web site and boxes but I have yet to come up with something that really POPS out...I see that BJ has had some luck with his on line contests and it has worked out well for him so this is what I'm gonna do.....I need a Logo for "Pound That Sound" and I am willing to give up an enclosure to who ever comes up with a nice Logo that works... the enclosure can be a single or two woofer daily driver fully finished (for the price of the shipping)
  6. I get the same treatment from Fedex....... I have had shippments dissapear for 2 weeks with no trace and they just show up one day out of the blue...frustrating as hell
  7. I don't really have the room to store any more boxes so I'll let it go for $50 plus shipping started another one this morning that is 2.25cf3 and tuned at 31hz...
  8. I am feeding my Icon 10's well over 1200w rms each with no problems...but I do have a clipp lite on my dash to ensure a clean signal....
  9. the measurements are Height = 15" Depth = 27" Width = 35 3/4" 1.0cf3 per sub port tuned at 35hz with 10% port velocity I'll have to weigh it and get a shipping price....it will be a few $$$ because of the size but with the $75 price tag on the enclosure itself the over all price won't be to bad serious enquiries contact me direct at [email protected]
  10. I am done playing with this enclosure.... this one is for sale...I will let it go for $75 plus shipping
  11. with out the Horn the port tuning is at 35hz....1.0cf3 per sub
  12. once again, that is a very nice looking box
  13. the horn does have an effect on in car response...I am getting some unreal Termlab readings at stupid low frequencies with the box pushed right back ...if I slide the box ahead it peaks out 145 @ 32hz I like this design enough to throw some work into another test box....gonna try one tuned about 4hz lower
  14. I think this design would work well with a single sub the only downside is that it takes up about 2x the room as a conventional enclosure and the face has to be un restricted to work properly it's friggin sick though...with low notes that strong I can blurr my vision with almost any song
  15. it's a big assed box....takes up the WHOLE trunk I'm not done with this design yet...got a few tweeks to make that video wasn't showing the loudest frequencies either... I am keeping that under wrapps....got a score to settle against a few local guys first
  16. did some Termlab testing this morning... here is a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N4J86yqRtY
  17. this design was origionaly designed for a single woofer this is the first common chamber ...and so far I like it I'll try and get a better video camera for the next vids
  18. there is not much SQ with a Sony Cyber-shot..the mics on them are junk here is another vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO6ZP0Wr9es I had the Termlab on it this morning...it hit 126db at 10hz and climbed up to 141db at 32hz..... this was with a flat eq setting with the mic 12" from the passenger pillar and 3" off the dash....not bad at all from a trunk car with some more break in time the batteries fully charged and some adjustments I can squeek a bit more out....I'll re mic it in a week or so
  19. took a small vid of these things.... I'll make another one after they break in a bit more
  20. I built this one 2.0cf3 and 35hz tuning and I'll be building another Identical enclosure tuned at 30hz next .... will most likely have a small stock pile of 10" Icon enclosures to sell cheep as is during my experimentation in finding the capabilities of these subs
  21. they are a very good sounding woofer..they handle TONS of power I'm running over 1200w rms per sub and no fatigue from getting to hot ..theystill sound clean and tight even after a good hour + of full tilt I'm digging the low end detail of these subs..very nice I think they have a little more output than my JBL W10gti subs and they definately move more air
  22. the enclosure design works well in a car the down side is that a Horn takes up ALOT of space these 10" Icons really slam out the low stuff..they are also really tight very stiff subs....I'll need a couple of weeks to break them in but so far so good
  23. it is a re hash of a night club woofer cabinet design I used to make back in the day I would call it some what of a compression Horn....
