well I found some time to build myself an enclosure for this pair of Icon 10" that have been sitting here doing nothing this first enclosure is for just two Icons

here is my latest T212D4 enclosure build

use a drill bit slightly smaller than the shaft of the screw and don't just ram the drill into the MDF...let the bit do the work

These 12" Icons are really starting to turn on with break in....they have passed the Garry test ..now I'll be taking out my two JBL W10gti subs and replacing them with four Icon 10"

this box has 2.0cf3 (1.0cf3 per sub) and is tuned at 38hz (10" Pioneer SPL2500 subs) it did really well on the mic with the little amps...he hit 141db on the TL at his first comp on the dash with the engine off and a stock battery

this is one of those pain in the ass installs.... have you thought about making a fiberglass enclosure in the trunk? it would let you utilize all the available space ... it's not really that hard...there are threads on fiberglassing on several forums

I used a Horn Loaded Design years back for night club enclosures and had adjustable chokers in the port to altert the tuning..takes up alot of room though I do have a design for a True Horn Loaded "Frugal Horn" home audio cabinet that I have been sitting on for a while..I have been thinking on ordering some exotic hardwood and making a pair

with this box style when pulled right to the passenger side and the side port unloading towards the drivers side rear corner it is mic friendly... it also lowers the peak frequency a few hz at the same time

I'm glad I am not the only one burried underneath orders.. once the ICONS are in stock I'll have the same problem of climbing orders

he wanted the box to fit snug between the shock towers...the ends can be used to put caps,amps and what not..or just a place to hide beer

the W7 has an aluminum ring that snaps on after the screws are in...in order to countersink the W7 room is needed to put the ring in place..the blue ring adds some color and fills in the gap one more of my little Idea's

I would love to show pics..it's going to completely change the market for PTS so there will be a Patent number before the release

I'll answer them in order... to long yes..if the room allows it Corpus Christy Texas I use a combination of software and math a local whole saler and I have been building enclosures since 1985 ...full time at the moment and will be opening a new Car Audio Shop soon also working on 4 Patents so I can release my new designs

my 8 year old daughter knows how to properly design an enclosure my sons first words were "applefier"..LOL my wife wants to Tattoo JBL on her ass so I'll spend more time with her

I am getting alot of requests for enclosure designs unfortunately at the moment the enclosure orders are kicking my arse and I won't have the available time for blue prints unless things slow down ..... I'll post if things change Trev
