  1. il try that and see if it works hey i talked to some people and they said to leave the wiring as is... also iv been doing some reading and i stillc ant find a good answer. how can i figure out my exact impedance on my subs? all i have is a dmm... can it be done this way? if so, how do i do it??
  2. il try that and see if it works
  3. heres a chitty diagram how its wired... also the bro out on the master goes in the br in on the slave. all the electrical connections are solid
  4. what would you recommend i do? i dont have access to a oscope
  5. hey guys im running to sundown saz1500ds strapped at 2 ohms, and 2 btl 18s dual 2s in my s10. i recently reconed. when i slam on them for a few minutes, one woofer gets hot real quick, the other gets warm. they both slap just as hard, but i cant figure out why the one woofer is getting hotter. i checked the tinsels where i soldered it looks good, same as the other one. all the connections are good as well, im using all 8awg wire. i set the gains using a multimeter and there gettin the right voltage the calculator gave me (3000w at 2 ohms - 77.5v) . i also swiched the woofers so the one getting hot was on the other side, and its still only that woofer getting obnormally warm! can someone tell me what im doing wrong? did i f up the recone somehow??
  6. strapped, 1ohm per amp 2 ohm load from both... I have it wired just like in the manual, then i have both woofers in series
  7. Do you have a load connected or not? Setting by voltage alone really isn't extremely accurate either due to the actual impedance varying quite a bit from the nominal. I generally set them by ear and back it off a hair once I hit audible distortion. yes i have 2 fi BTL 18s d2 coils on it. the amps are strapped at 2 ohms. i just want it all tuned up so i can pound on these things. i really do wish i had 2 3000s tho
  8. il be getting 2 more in a month or 2. i wish i had 2 3000ds, when i ordered my amps that wat i wanted, but they were backordered. not to mention im really running out of space in my cab with the 16 cubic foot wall, 2 18s , 3 amps and 2 batterys all inside lol
  9. hi guys, im using this calculator http://www.caraudio911.com/tutorials/GainSet/voltage.htm to get my gains all set up on my truck, and im getting different numbers. i have 2 sundown saz1500-ds strapped, and 2 d2 fi audio BTL 18s in my s10 can someone help me out on getting these gains where they should be? also i metered it the other day just setting the gain by ear and it did a 146.8 legal. im getting 2 more sundowns down the road, i want to be in the 150 club! thanks for your help in advanced,
