  1. So whats the xMax on these bad lads? I'm really diggn' the smaller look. They got a sleeper element to them.
  2. Haha! Thats damn sweet I must say. Though, if I got a ford it would have to be deisel!
  3. I found it, pretty sweet, but I like the pics of the girl more. haha. And that side pipe on the white ford is sweet... if only it was a Chevy.
  4. If you are going to keep the car. Do it. Don't worry about spending alot going overboard. I sent $1000 on my 10'' and door speakers and amps for my truck this spring and everyone at my highschool though I was nuts because its not that loud they say. It may not be loud as fawk, but it sure as hell is the best sounding thing around. So it was worth it to me. And thats what matters.
  5. Looks great. What about the center counsel and dash? Are they going to be grey too?
  6. What do you plan on doing with them?
  7. ^BKOLF)4 Can you help me with a box?
  8. I think Big E is correct in that the sae-1000d does like 1100 at 13.8 or something.
  9. Well I want to try my Fi Q10 in a ported box to see if I can sqeeze a littel more output out of it but don't really know where to start. It is in a S10 ext cab and I don't what to take up the whole back seat and keeping the sound quality I have now in a .6ft^3 box is a must. I was thinking of using tubes for ports instead of a slot port but I am open to anything. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike B.
  10. So what do I need to do to get a recone for a Q10?
  11. So what kind of skills do i need and what can i look to pay for a recone?
  12. I'm pretty sure this isn't possible but, I was wondering if the Q series was universal. I have a Q10 D1 coils paired with a Sundown sae-1000D wired at 2ohms. I know that some of the subs you can change with a recone. Otherwise anyone know some magical way to get a 1ohm load on my amp haha.
  13. I have a 1000D in my s10 on stock electrical with 4awg and it stays at or above 14v all day day long. Then again I'm only running it at 2ohms, so at least do the big three, it should help everything else out too, like your lights and stuff. But I would deffinatly go the route of sundown, great people, great product... Just like Fi!
  14. I was thinking along the lines of 11'' high, 17'' deep and the length is variable but probably around 20-23'' Yes i would like some more power but I think i will eventually end of putting the Q10 in another vehical and putting a Q15 in the truck, then i would order in with the correct coils for my amp... but thats a different story. Thanks
  15. Ok, I give up. I need some more direction in building a ported enclosure for my Q10. Right now, it has about .5ft^3 in a sealed enclosure and I really love the way it sounds, I would just like it a little louder (or alot haha.) But anyway, this is in an extended cab S10. I have to admit, its alittle underpowered with my Sundown sae-1000d because it wired at 2ohms. So it gets about 600rms. Any ideas? I would like to use tube for my ports if possible, not really a fan of slot ports, but i'm open to anything. Thanks, Mike B.
  16. Hell yeah! MTU rocks! Im planning on going there in about two years. Congrats on the awards! Two questions: do you feel your s*** is safe up there? I mean i hear alot about peoples sound equipment getting jacked and where I live, things like that don't really happen. Want to know if i should pull my system out before going to collage. And, is the chick situation up there really as bad as people say? Haha.
  17. Nevermind I found it here, just took some time. http://www.audiobahn.com/Audiobahn06/image...l_box_specs.pdf But that leads me to my next question: Do tuning frequencies change when adding two ports? Say if I needed a 4x11 port, would adding a second one for more port area change the tuning? If so, what calculations need to be made? Thanks, Mike B.
  18. My friend has a 15'' audiobahn, here is the link: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=13516 Right now he has it in a sealed box but i really feel it would sound better, or at least alot smoother in a ported box. I havent made a ported box yet, but im ready to try. But my question is, size and tuning for this sub. I looked all over for manufacture recomendation for atleast size recs for a ported enclosure but could not find anything. I was thinking maybe a tuning to 32hz or so, but not really sure. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike B.
  19. +1 Headroom, talk to a pro audio guy, thats whats it all about!
  20. Well I have never heard a SSD but i noticed you listed Tool on your artist list there, all I can say is I have a Q10 and its the only sub I'v heard around hear that can play the kick drum perfectly. Any other sub just sound like BAAH! From what it sounds like to me, Id look at a Q12. Whats it going in and what are you powering it with?
  21. Ok, just wondering. I was being competely retarded that day that my sub came and hooked it up to my little Phillips Hi-Fi system... POP! No more music in my room. Since I have a little rockford waiting to be installed, i though that maybe in cound run it off of some old charger/transformer thing because we have like 50 of em' in a box in the basement. But oh well. Thanks anyway.
  22. I know this may sound kind of odd, but is there any way that i can run a car amp out of my room wall socket? I was thinking maybe something like a 12v DC adapter from some random thing, but i don't want to fry my amp. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, Mike B.
