  1. just got my jasper jig in today. im so freakin excited. the router should be here today or tomorrow!!!
  2. wire both 12's down to 1 ohm. more cone area =
  3. look around on craigslist for local box builders. expect to pay around 120-250 for a custom box.
  4. i have 35 watt 6k's on my hi an low beams. ive heard that the 55w kits get really hot, sometimes even melting plastic housings. have you had any heat issues so far? i love the 35w and they are so damn bright but i was thinking about some 55w just for shits and giggles. one tip i recommend is for anyone else wanting hids, make sure you pick up a headlight restoration kit and clean them up because that haze takes off a whole lot of light output.
  5. ok so i ended up getting a dewalt. i ordered the jig and i went to lowes to pick up some router bits. i picked up a 3/8 roundover and a 1/2 x 1 1/2 straight bit. i might end up swapping it out because idk if i should get a spiral bit. what should be used for the cutting of the hole. keep in mind it will be 1.5 inches thick.
  6. 1 more question; if the Depth Capacity (Inches) for the router = 1.25, will it work on a double front baffle (1.5inches) because of the extra length of the router bit. because i'd like to make my passes after the box is built, where if i cant get that extra depth from the router bit, i'd have to cut the hole before making my box
  7. looks great man!! i cant freaking wait for my sp4. i need like 40 more dollars for supplies to build my box!! try to upload some vids to youtube so we can see it bangin!!
  8. i dont think it will work with the jasper 200 http://www.jaspertools.com/routercompatibility.cfm
  9. okay cool! thank you. i'll look into the kits from lowes or home depot. also, are there any decent priced routers you would recommend? i just figured out the one i was looking at isnt compatible with the jasper jig
  10. im trying to achieve 2 things. for the port, where it ends (inside) i'd like to know what size router bit to use when i make a pass from each size to make it a perfect half circle. also, where the port turns 90* what size bit should i use to get a full turn on 1 piece of wood. im going to start my box build without my gf's dads tools this time. im going to buy a router and the jasper jig and the 2 (or 3) bits i will need

if I got a tracking number does that mean my woofer shipped out?
  12. thanks, this is how it ended up looking too bad my buddy didnt tell me he had the upgraded jbl system so i got the wrong harness adapter. he has a 20 pin instead of 2 separate plugs -___-
  13. Looks good!!
  14. okay great! i'll solder it right now. i have one more question tho, the blue w/ white stripe is for my remote wire. can anyone confirm?
  15. this is my first stereo install and im a little confused. i see that the harness that plugs into the stereo has a longer black ground wire. my adapter harness has a black wire for a ground wire to attach. ive heard that youre supposto ground the stereo to the metal inside the dash. will it be okay leaving the ground wire on the harness that plugs into the factory plug left un touched. will everything function properly? should i NOT solder them but instead ground it in the dash? also the p connect is for the remote wire right?
  16. about to throw them in itunes. scanned for virusus, all clear haha
  17. cool little build!! budget ftw haha
  18. downloading right now. 3 hours to go -___- haha hope there arent any russian viruses or anything lol

only thing i could critique djsnt with is that his music peaks at higher db's. unless youre tuning your amp on a 0db track youre probably clipping with his music if youre on a -5db dd1 tune. but hes got some good songs that decaf hasnt hit yet Ive gone through a lot of decafs songs, and he does a very good job. Puts a lot more time into each song then any other bass booster. Lots of his songs do approach 0db. I edit music myself, and it really depends on the song on how close to 0db you want to go. Dj slow n throw does fairly good but is an amateur in comparison he uses a different bass to mids and highs ratio. usually the bass in his songs are 1db higher then the mids and highs. Bigpimpin is a closer comparison for sure ive found some of his stuff recently, do u know where i can find all his stuff at? (bigpimpin)

  22. when i threw it in winisd it was very peaky when i tuned around 32. or atleast what i thought was, this is my first week playing around with the program. ive gone thru a couple tutorials. plus i tune low because i LOVE lows. i had a rockford t1d415 and i was giving it only ~700 rms and i played down to 22 Hz (i cook) and my whole car was FLEXXIN!! haha my last box was tuned at ~ 32hz and it still killed the lows. cant wait for my new woofer and lower tuning!
