This isn't exactly a question I have, but here goes. My friend is a big physics geek and on the topic of speakers, he asked why we don't have cooling devices to keep operating temperatures low so resistance is more predictable, and less influential. I Don't really know how to answer him, could some of you throw me some ideas why it isn't a practical idea? My only thoughts on it are practicality regarding a mobile environment and the equipment needed, as well as cost. But why don't filhy rich folks use woofer coolers to take advantage of their amps? I'm interested to see what gets said here It seems cool in theory (no pun intended) Just really impractical.

If I had the supplies to do so, I wouldn't have let them go to waste. If i'm going to this length to utilize my money already spent, why half ass it? I used everything I had laying in boxes in the garage; i'm not setting up a theater. If you weren't so vague about what you say, it wouldn't come across as smug, and rude. This is no pity party, but I have brain damage from an OD resulting in severe attention and memory issues, so if my post seems halfway understandable, i'm not half assing anything here. It makes sounds so it is doing it's job. No it won't win awards. Do I care? No. Is the amplifier seeing a safe load now? Yes. And if I get nervous I could dig up a dmm. I am running a BTL full range. This isnt a serious long term project. It's a time killer. Save the lessons for a quality build not a ghetto blaster. Then your sarcasm and rudeness is actually worth tolerating

Like I previously stated... They are yamaha satellite speakers. I have no more information than that. I provided what I have. My friend peeled the stickers off I think... No model is listed on them. I have five 2.5" satellites each has a .75" tweeter(about)From an hour of google it seems they are six ohms. That's it.

Well if I had the means to measure them why would I have even posted? I usually ask questions I don't know the answers to...I couldn't provide you with anything more than the brand and manufacturers labeled impedance.
