What are some Mp3 players that get fairly loud while retaining sound quality? My iPod Video with Rockbox OS was the best i've seen, my classic just doesnt compare

Has anyone owned or used the creative zen mp3 players? I am considering the X-Fi2 touchscreen model as an alternative to an iPod (i've had 6 iPods; all of em broke) Main concerns are sound quality, how loud it can get, and functionality. I will be pairing it with a pair of DD headphones. Thanks, --Chris
