"Bass boost" should really be renamed to "distortion boost" 99.97% of the time, it is a very bad idea to use it. Set your amp right, and spare your subs the abuse.

What coil configuration are your SSD's?

I don't know about you, but with 38cuft, i would do a super low tune with four 15's, or 18's if you could fit them. With 18's you would have to get pretty creative to squeeze enough port area out though. You could do somthing crazy like four triangular ports per woofer, at the four corners. What ever you do, I'm going to give a pre-emptive holy crap.

Run the two runs of 1/0 to the back battery on the left (or right, whichever is closer to the front battery) then run two (I would do 4 to make up for having that distance between the batteries, overkill maybe, but it couldnt hurt) runs of 1/0 to the other battery and connect all amplifier positives to the second battery.

If you have an original iPod*, you can use rockbox to play your FLAC songs through the aux phono cable. Thats what i did, not in a car, but it works nontheless. Just get a car ipod charger and you're set. *It MUST be the original video, nano, and I think, the mini. Those are the only ones that support rockbox. RockBox
