man, i wish my starter sub was a BTL! you do not want to use only one coil. it will not play to its potential. like Rob said, check to see if it is D1 or D2. what do you plan on running for an amp?

the fact that almost no one is likely to steal a radio out of a '99 ford, is my reason. i am amping the doors, and tweets. so power isnt an issue. i just cant afford to replace anything if it is stolen. i am tuning to 30. no questions. i know why i am doing it. and if you think that all i listen to is one type of music, i have to call you wrong. and the fact that the woofers are 56 bucks, is no concern to you. i have heard those woofers in the same box i am having made. 4.0@30hz and they are excellent for my purposes. so no. i am not going to bow in and spend a kagillion on woofers of your choice. i have already decided this is alot of money to be spending on a darn near 10 year old car. if and when i get a new one, sure, i will upgrade from factory, and do all that good stuff. but not now. hell that HU is worth more than the car! Edit: sorry if i come across angry... i haven't been sleeping much, doctor is adjusting A.D.D. meds and whatnot.

i am just looking for maximum airflow at lower frequencies, while maintaining good sound quality. deadening is already accounted for... so in other words, really loud but sounding really good. i don't even know if thats possible really, i want to be able to show off, like have someone get in, and hop right back out, but i want it to sound excellent doing that. i have decided to go pioneer all the way, doors, tweets, and subs. maybe, eventually amps. (for now it's the Autotek) what i am still in the air about is the HU. i want to get the 08' premier, a little down the road, but i also want to keep it stock, so nobody says "hey fancy!! lets steal it!!" plus, the stock radio sounds decent, other than the fact that it is radio+cassette, no CD player. i don't think i will keep the rear speakers connected, just because i wont really hear them, and thus i wont need them. (plus, thats a bit of cash i could save on the overall project) this car is going to be a sleeper. i will keep as much as i can stock. no stickers, thats a dead tip off that i have something valuable in my car, only thing i have to do looks-wise, is vacuum it up, fix the scratches (some fag keyed my poor car, as if it isn't ugly enough as it is) and of course, wash and polish it. it really isn't all that bad for having 164,000 miles on it. Just went to go talk to my dad, and completely lost my train of thought. what ever, i think this is a long enough post already

i really like the design, if someone can help me with dimensions on a hex box, i will happily build it. wood is all over my neighborhood, still in construction in some areas. also, i need help figuring out the effectiveness of the following: the three main subs facing outwards, like normal. then two more subs inverted, facing down into the box. my brother did this with his five memphis subs, and it hit the lows like no other. was it just luck? or is that truly effective?

yeah, my total budget is 300+s&h so 140 for the box, then ~50 for subs
