  1. Could one of you guys rockin Trailblazer please provide me with the Maximum Width, Length & Height (to the top of the seat) of the cargo area? Any help would be great. Thanks
  2. The reason I'm asking is because its been forever since I've used round ports. I need to same some space and a 6"x13" port only displaces ~0.2ft^3 for the tuning I want. Everything else is just too big.
  3. Lets just say I'm building a ported box. And the port is 6"x13" (Round port) How far away should the end of the port be from any wall? For example, the port is on the front wall. How far does the end inside the box need to be from the back wall? I think i remember it being 1/2 the diameter, but i could be wrong. If anyone could help shed some light on this one, it would be a great help.
  4. A pair of SAZ-3000D's and a pair of SAX-100.4's I'm planning on 4 batteries in the rear and 1 up front, I just need the run from the front to the rear. Its going to be a run of the 3/0AWG wire, there isn't anything that I can find that will let me use more than one ANL fuse.
  5. I am looking for a fuse holder that will hold 2 ANL fuses that has one 1/0 in and one 1/0 out. Do they exist? or am I stuck? I am using the Stinger 3/0 oval wire to the battery bank in the back, I just dont think a single 300 amp will be enough. Thanks
  6. I think you are getting RTA and EQ very confused. On most decks Q is an adjustment of the width of a centre frequency. (Greek maybe?) Give this a read it may explain it better than I did http://www.bcae1.com/equalizr.htm
  7. Thats what I am hoping. Planning 4 amps, I want to orient them all the same way. I kind of want to have a mirror effect
  8. Can the centre logo trim piece be rotated 180*? Pics to show what I'm talking about. Please excuse my horrible photo-chop
  9. I would like to let everyone know that my girlfriend and I have finally received our little bundle of joy. Nicolas Owen Fleming was born November 7th at 4:04pm. Weighing in at 8lbs 9.3oz (3894grams for all you metric freaks) Having a length of 23.5" (59.7cm again for you metric freaks) 10 fingers 10 toes and very healthy. Brenda and Nicolas are doing well, and are now home.
  10. nevermind, I found what i was looking for. Thanks for looking though
  11. Anyone know where I can find the stock amp? Its the BOSE
  12. Yup, I found it. Why, why, why do ppl try to do things when they have NO idea what they're doing?!?! I pretty much had to rewire the truck, burnt wires and an all, sheesh Thanks for the help
  13. Does anyone happen to know where the stock amp in a 96 explorer. I'm in a bit rush, customer screw'd ish up thanks
  14. I try, its not like it was open or anything. Gains are for sure getting scoped, and I'll be doing a 5dB overlap
  15. Car is a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV The suspension is a full coilover setup, so thats covered. My subs are ~60lbs each pus amps and batteries. Im just trying to figure out how to go about figuring out what I need to support the power
  16. Ya I saw that on the Kinetik website, it says that I need a HC1400 (upfront) and 4 HC2400 (out back) I wonder if I can cheat that a bit (I dont think I have enough room for 4 batteries in the trunk, plus the amps, plus the box). Maybe something larger under the hood and the 3 HC2400's in the back (it'll fit better)
  17. Why do i need to watch the gains? are they going to do tricks? i plan on scoping the gains. Would a smaller or larger box help me deal with the power better?
  18. I curious to know how you guys determine how many batteries you need to back up your power. I'm looking at running around 7000-7500 RMS. I've called and emailed around regarding HO alts for my car, the largest alt I've been able to find is around 250amp I've seen ppl talking about ca, cca, and ah, but how do those numbers help you determine what you need. I'm rather new to systems this big, I'm talking more than 1 extra batt in the trunk. Thanks for that help
  19. K, now I know what you are all going to say, BUT before you do please give this a read. I have a pair of BTL 15's (D2) that I am planning on running with a pair of SAZ-3000D's I know the box recommendation is 3-5ft^3, with the power, would I be better off staying on the smaller side? I know when you start going bigger the mechanical ability sub goes down, but the trade off is more forcefull bottom end (which I would like to have). I'm planning to have between 6-8ft^3 net enclosure tuned fairly low around 30-32hz Just curious as to what you guys think about my ideas
  20. I mean CCA, CA, and aH are all fine and dandy, but how do you figure out how many batteries you need to have in order to support the amount of power you are planning on running? using those number and the amp specs?

  22. I'm mostly looking to monitor/tweek/set gains Not to say that I wouldn't like to be able to measure the power output though.
  23. The manual I have shows me what all the buttons are for and how it all works. The big thing it doesnt show is how to make the connections. I just want to be able to measure waveforms to check for clipping.
  24. So I ordered a new tool for the tool box, and received it in the mail today. And the tool of the day is: a Vellman HPS10SE O-scope Now how exactly do I go about using it? (altough it has an auto fucntion) I'm pretty much going to be using it to set gains at work and at home on my own projects. I have all the test tones one could need thanks to AutoSound 2000. Basically I need to know how I hook it up to the amp to measure the wave and what should I be using as a load? I've heard/seen of resistors (dummy loads) or reactive loads (speakers). I would assume that using the reactive loads would be better, but I have been known to be wrong before. There is a centre pin and wire with an alligator clip on the end, what do I do with them? Pics would help me out HUGE (I learn to see it done) reading owns me. I think I have mild dyslexia.
  25. The installer is only sort of right. For all the money you are going to spend on the all those speakers and amps, you could probably get a pretty nice 2 or 3 way setup and a nice amp, and be just as loud (cuz thats what I think you are trying to achieve) Do the research before you are dead set on 5 pairs of speakers
