that amp has got to go , they are overratted by at least 200-500 watts, not very efficiant, teriible THD (total harmonic distortion) only amps from hifonics worth buying is the XXV serious, but u gotta drop some cash its not electronics, its electrical system(alternators, batteries, big 3's) these are what helps voltage problems in cars with high powered amps but if i were u, i would spend the extra for a way better amp for a Fi BL (kicker zx1500.1, sundown audio saz-1500d,mtx ta81001 etc.) good luck

well its only goin to sound good if u have an enclosure with the correct specs for the sub, but imo the power is fine, i would just put the pchamfer on and mabe cooling, but if ur planing on upgrading amp later on or even adding a second bl, just get it loaded

now, how would you compare the kicker zx2500.1 to a hifonics XXV-thor, because i just found it on soniceletronix.com for 669.99, while the kicker zx2500.1 i found on onlinecarstereo.com for 663?? are the hifonics XXV series overratted or underrated? cuz i heard the brutus series is overrated, and nuthin but junk thanks

agreed, very strong amp

are you more for SQ or more for SPL, BL=more SPL Q=more SQ IMO i would take the BL's just because i like more SPL, but you honestly cant go wrong with either of you choices, and i think 2500-3000 watts is perfect IMO for the BLs

yea the sundown saz-3000d is an awsome amp, i would go for the for the BL's IMO

I'm going to use 2 mtx 7801's for right now. I want a rockford 4000. the TA series are real nice, to bad they dont make them no more, but IMO the RF t40001bd might be a bit much for those BL's, i mean that amp is BEAST cant wait till i buy my BL's, but i need more loot

i would go for BL's cuz i like more SPL, if thats wat u want the BLs for sure, 2500 watts isplenty for a pair of loaded bls good luck

i was thinkin i wanted to get a 3000-3500 watt amp for 2 15" BL's but i just thought to myself that im not goin to compete with them, so is having the extra 250-450 watts really worth it??
