Double stacked magnets Amp used: Cadence A7hc - 1200w rms @ 1ohm SQ / Box used: 3cu' tuned to 28Hz I have been playing around with the sub for the two months now. At first I though the SQ was awful. After using different box designs, and it got broken in, my final conclusion is that for an SPL driver the SQ is not that bad. I have my amp X-over set to 250Hz. The higher tone bass is slightly distorted and laking, but if you want smooth lows it has plenty of room to spare. Another nice thing about this driver is that the extreme lows (>30Hz) can get really loud with out a lot of cone excursion. For this reason, the 1000w rms becomes more like 1500w rms. (Remember the box) SPL / Box used 4.5cu' tuned to 46Hz I figured that there was no way that the PBX could duplicate what my 15" Brahma could do; I was wrong. In this box their numbers are identical. It seemed like there was no bottoming out when I would play low frequency bass songs. The Brahma would never be able to handle this for long play (aprox. 30min.) as the PBX did. I think that the power rating is greatly underrated and that it is a great compitition sub. Over all - 1 through 5 SQ - 4 SPL - 4.5 http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59606
  2. Hmmm... I don't know what to say about this. I mean I was working, making some money to pay for gas and some food, at a restaurant cleaning up. I mopped up someones puke, and went into the shed to get a "Caution" sign for the wet floor. In the about 30 seconds I was gone, someone walked by and fell on the wet spot. They ended up fracturing their elbow. They were very reasonable, and accepted my multiple apologies kindly. I honestly thank the Lord they didn't sue me. I would be up chit creek without something even resembling a paddle... As for the question, I would should sue them for enough to cover medical expenses. If I did decide to sue for 100,000 pieces of paper, I would use however much I NEEDED, and give the rest of it to the Salvation Army or something similar. If I could never walk again, I would use some of the 100,000 to buy a nice power scooter and other accessories, and live off the rest while finding a job, and if I had some left over after I got a job, I would probably give it to charity. That's what I would do at least.
  3. I think he was just happy b/c they have been missing for a while and he has gone through hell trying to get them... i guess... maybe? Maybe he just smokes crack... http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=21487
  4. Just pick an H/U and post up what you want and we'll check. Try to find one with subwoofer pre-amps and a pre-amp voltage of at least 4 volts. Uhh... I'll let others comment on setting the gain. The proper way is with an oscilloscope, but those aren't easy to find. I just do it by ear, and check w/ DMM.
  5. What is the size of your stock alternator? If you can't find out just tell what year/model your car is. 1) Sub looks good. Dual 2 ohm will get you 1 ohm at the amp when wired like: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...mp;woofer_imp=3 2) The recommended box for the AA Havoc 15 is 1.5-3.0 cu ft. I'm not experienced w/ sealed so someone else will have to answer for that. 3) Perfect amp. 4) Looks like a damn nice component set! 5) Great amp, just watch your gains on those components. Your kit will be perfect for power, just make sure you pick up some RCA's from somewhere.

Ok let's start out with goals. What are you looking for? Are you looking to be loud or sound good? Do you listen to rock most of the time, or rap a lot? Judged by what you have said so far I don't think the BL's are what you're looking for. I think Q's ported or sealed are best for you.
  7. I bet your teachers loved you. You're so damn organized! Amazing install yet again man!
  8. Sweet. You almost there man. Vids and pics are a must when it's done.
  9. Look at the BladeIce website... Someone linked it in a post....
  10. Older as in how old?
  11. Internal dimensions. Multiply length x width x height, then multiply by 1728.
  12. You can also paint over it and it ends up pretty good looking. It looks great alone as well
  13. What kind of space do you have? Dimensions would be great. http://www.makeitlouder.com/Decibel%20Level%20Chart.txt
  14. And terminals One thing is for sure, there are two damn nice subs!
  15. Jeezy's stuff almost always hits hardest near 40-43 htz. Consider the range that subs play. From about 22 - 50 htz (approximately). In that spectrum, 40 htz actually is mid-high range. 40 htz is low compared to the frequencies in music, but compared to the frequencies that subs play (which are relevant in this topic), it isn't exactly low.
  16. I wouldn't generalize all rap as such. Songs such as Hood Nigga, White Girl, Put On, and many many others/chopped and screwed mixes peak anywhere from 26-34 htz. That's where I have my system peaking at... But you are def right in saying that MOST rap centers around 40 htz.

  20. SPL = Sound Pressure Level...
  21. I searched but couldn't find it... I'm just curious where Fi, Q, BL and BTL came from...
  22. LOLZ. What about the others? Enlighten us Nick! lol
  23. Well put. And well put, again. Thank you!
  24. I hate you but in a way i love you. (no homo) Incredible box man... absolutely perfect.
