  1. That turned out nice! As Scott said keep us posted
  2. NDMstang65 replied to J.C's topic in General Fi
    Nope
  3. Probably better to sell the sub you have and buy one that is designed to be a 18.
  4. Honestly man there's really no point in doing it unless you killed your hd3.. Recones from them are decently cheap, and you wouldn't have a 'frankenwoofer'
  5. No...a BTL is a BTL ..a hd3 reconed with different soft parts would be just that, a hd3 with our coil, spiders, and cone.
  6. IMO 2500 is too much for a loaded BL Add another inch to the mounting depth, so it'l be 9.25" Thanks!
  7. *Ahem* :stands on soap box: CHAT BISHES Danke.
  8. Not anytime soon, we're focusing mainly on the AA line right now and getting it finished up! Thanks -Nick
  9. Dodge quad cab... Are you putting them under the seats or something?
  10. I'm not going to say one way or another...i've personally owned just about every sub DD has made over the years the last ones i've personally had were the "D" series i believe... If you want loud, its all in the install. Mike's van is the loudest 4 woofer vehicle in the world, and he runs BTL 18's..he's tried DD subs and they simply don't work for him. Bottom line is, there is no re-invention of the wheel here. We give all of our customers what we think is a fair shake at prices (we haven't forgot what its like to walk in your shoes too), as far as i know i don't think any other manufactures are offering a fully user customizable sub, tailored to their specific application, for the price that we're doing it . Your call, if i were in your shoes i wouldn't throw money down the drain for a extra few tenths on the mic in a drop in situation...or base my purchase on what others 'think' may happen, i've learned better then that .
  11. Nope just 1500 watts or so A sundown 1500d would be great for a pair of them, or even one of the Kicker 1500's would work fine
  12. white chocolate. macadamia nuts. now.
  13. weeeeeeeeee
  14. Big difference Cooling option keeps the coil muuuuuch cooler.
  15. Are you doing dBdrag?
  16. get the frackin frickin frickity fruck into chat beeeeotches.

  18. usps unsuccessfully delivering parts lol hazmat issues..accelerator bottle busted so it went back to vegas
  19. Ahhhh Ok thats you, didnt know that lol. Just waiting man that's about all i can say at this point.
  20. Actually Tom (tprj5) is the guy that has/had the 8 15" SSD's sealed in the blazer.. Shawn has 8 btl 15's in a big ported box in the van
  21. You'll have to remind me or tell me what your email addy is, drawing a blank right now, jog my memory
  22. Bang for the buck the SSD's are more power/dollar for dollar oriented... They'll sound great in the sealed box, get loud and won't break the bank in having to get tons of power and electrical upgrades to get them to their full potential. Even later on if you think you want to give up a wee bit more hatch area you could put them in a ported enclosure and they'd be much louder than sealed (respectively). Thanks!
  23. Well you don't have enough power for a pair of BTL's, that amp is rated to do 2700 watts at .5ohm...and in all honestly i wouldn't run the amp that hard. (Lowest i would go would be with our dual 1ohm coils, that have a dcr at .7 ohms) Depending on how much room you have to give up (and tastes on is this street geared or geared for spl numbers?) you may want to entertain the idea of a pair of Q's with the BP power option, or possibly a pair of BL's with the cooling option. If its more of a daily street beater IMO its the best way to go, instead of investing more money in more batteries and another amp just to run the BTL's. I'm not very familiar with the pro cast subs from Mmats, how do you like those? Or are you just looking for a change of pace? Thanks! -Nick
  24. I've messed with the cars a little bit. Personally i believe you have enough room to do a pair of SSD 12's with the copper coil option, with ~1600 watts (give or take). I dont think you have enough room (physically speaking) to mount a 15" sub firing up back there without having a really funky shaped box up top. Thanks! -Nick
  25. ill give you the shirt off my back but its midgetized
