  1. I wish. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more expensive .
  2. If you abuse it..it will break. If it's a shipping company issue, then we'll take it up with the shipping company. But at the end of the day you are the one behind the controls to the sub, subs are dumb..they simply do what you tell them to do.
  3. Don't model it in winisd. It will tell you to put it in a tiny sealed box which is the opposite of what it needs. Stick with our box rec's..it works the best. Thiele-Small Parameters 12" RRP (

  5. The cost incurred by a patent attorney would not be worth it with similar knock-offs coming out anyway. I agree.

Only reason people have waited that long was due to them putting the wrong address or other information and the product being returned to us for being not deliverable. Build time is 5-7 days, to your doorstep is 5-7 days. (business days, weekends do not count) Thanks! -Nick
  7. Depends on where you are located. We've got distributors set up internationally. Where are you located?
  8. We can do a partial BP option, if you are wanting to send it in the recone is $105 plus shipping back to you. Thanks! -Nick
  9. An SX is pretty much equivalent to an SSD with a flat wound coil...
  10. Eh..eventually When it's on the site it's ready to go, until then...we've got stuff in the works .
  11. No. Look into the Q series woofers if you have to go sealed. Thanks! -Nick
  12. Ladies/Gents, I've attempted to click and reply on every thread in this section and I can't do anything with it. Please email me any and all questions that you have and i'll get you taken care of as soon as possible. Nick " at " ficaraudio.com Thank you so much for understanding! -Nick
  13. Ok which one of you jackasses changed his post? I told you in the back room to stay the hell out if you don't like it...did you simply not get it? rrdshrapnel - I apologize for the staff here(wonder who it could be ), they seem to not understand what I wrote in the back room last week about their actions and flexing of moderation powers. None the less we need some measurements to work with.
  14. Don't have the magnet options anymore, we went to a single 11.25" diameter slug.
  15. not the subs man some other gremlin is tripping you up somewhere...subs are dumb, they do what they are told to do in the environment that they are in
  16. Subs are in a different class...the nighshade is almost 500 bucks...more then a pair of either one of the ssd's or q's..

Completely and totally different woofers. What about the w6's do you not like?

I don't know what the hell is going on between you all but drop it. I don't know how to get rid of a 'queued' topic but whoever did whatever fix it. I don't care what you think you may know, I don't care if you think people ask stupid questions here. Get off your high horse and either encourage and help, or simply look the other way. Your snide comments will not be tolerated. Thank you.

Pointless throwing that much power at it. Your not going to be any louder and are way more prone to breaking stuff... Unless your doing SPL burps, don't do it. There's nothing wrong with head room..but if you abuse it you'll be asking for recones within a week. That goes for any subwoofer...i don't care who makes it.
  20. Scott designed and built that sub originally... Yes we can recone it. $85 + shipping per recone

David isn't going to have anything different. It's a matter of JL uses specific parts for their subwoofer...it's not stuff that we use. Sure we can make something work..but it isn't going to be remotely the same. Odds are you couldn't even use the w7 basket..mainly because you have to glue the surrounds down on our designs, it's not made to take on and off like the w7 is. You have to get a recone through JL...if you want it to work the way it was intended.
  22. It will work fine, figure out what kind of sound and output you want and go from there. Big box, less mechanical power handling, more pronounced bottom end, tends to be boomier than the smaller box. Smaller box, more mechanical power handling, less pronounced bottom end, tends to be tighter and more accurate than the bigger box. Somewhere in the middle...is in the middle of the two. But, as long as you stay within the guidelines your fine for a daily driving musical scenario. Thanks! -Nick
  23. Sounds like you clipped the amp and burned the coil up and locked it up. We've NEVER had a motor fall apart...the glue that we use to put them together is stupid strong.
  24. Been in for a loooooong time...
