  1. I thought I emailed you back about this? 3/4" or so is fine, if it has BP Power you can sit the back plate on the back of the box for all that matters..the pole vent is blocked off.
  2. Ported box we recommend using 2.8-4 cubic feet @ 28-33Hz. Again use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume. The response curve will likely suffer. It will be a little 'boomier' and not as accurate. Your mechanical power handling will decrease as well so make sure you watch your gain and subsonic filters. It will work if you want something to listen to though..
  3. Sorry man, I simply do not have time to sit here 24-7 and answer questions that the answers are already here. I get on here when I can, don't expect a reply after a few minutes. Inner Heat Sink: Its a machined aluminum ring in the gap that lowers the voicecoils inductance (allowing it to play up higher and have a little better overall transient response). It also reduces the volume inside the magnet gap of the motor increasing air speed with the cooling as well as allowing the coil to kick off heat to a more receptive thermal mass rather than magnets. Transient response = 'accuracy' as in techno or kick drum type music..the woofer does not sound 'behind' the rest of the music..busting the myth of 18's are slow and 10's and 12's are made for techno.. Aluminum soaks up heat much better than ferrite does...the ring increases the air speed inside of the motor making the cooling more effective... I'm not sure how i'm supposed to explain it better...that's exactly what it does..if you still do not understand I am not sure what to tell you.
  4. Your not going to notice a loss in motor strength...the fully loaded BTL now has more motor strength than the previous one did with SPL tolerances and no cooling. The inner heat sink is explained in the options...it basically creates more pressure inside of the gap to increase velocity inside of the motor, it also lowers inductance some as well.
  5. Yep it'l kill them
  6. Don't do any glue..sorry we can't ship it due to hazmat reasons. 15" MT recones are $100 + shipping to where you are located ($10-15 per)
  7. No clue, what size coil does it have in it? Generally speaking DD/Audioque uses very tight gaps and very small coils (outer diameter)..
  8. Brian Owens would be, BKOLFO4 on here (hope I spelled that right)
  9. Wait, if it has full cooling we can work something out for you..
  10. Yes we can ship it to an APO, but know that if the recone never gets there it is not our fault. There is no tracking...once we send it we'll scan the documents to you that we get from the post office and that's all we have to do with it.
  11. I said that the label had been sent out, chill. We're getting it fixed. It's a mistake on Scott's part...it's not every day that you have 2 orders for recones of the exact same thing..simply got mixed up of what needed to go where.
  12. Quickest way you can get them is off the website, if you want them shipped to you faster you are responsible for all shipping charges...standard manufacturing time still applies..there is no faster there...we hand make every single speaker, there is no slapping a speaker in a shipping box and putting a ups label and sending it on its way with us...
  13. NDMstang65 replied to citrate's topic in Fi Technical
Do you want the woven leads or just the big btl tinsels?
  14. 4 slug 4hp of some sort..probably a 'cactus' sub? Big waste of ferrite there..
  15. I would be your closest dealer as i'm in Virgina.. Shoot me an email with what your interested in.
  16. Where are you located?
  17. Depends on what motor you have, your sub will not be right for spec and it would not have our normal coils in it due to the ID of the top plate being tighter for must... What sub is it? When did you get it?
  18. Stay within our recommendations and it's fine...port them if your wanting more output.
  19. No it won't work right
  20. Ported box we recommend using 3-5 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz. Again use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume.
  21. Your motor went to that guy by mistake...it's got a label and is on its way back to get reconed to what it should be.. Sorry..it'l get fixed asap
  22. Nice! Hope you enjoy it..i need to make my way over to celicatech, i simply do not have time anymore. I must find a good ct26 to put on my car to get it running sometime.
  23. I'm only like 8 months older than you. lmao. Age is nothing but a number chief Cool stuff with the cardboard jake
  24. Your on your own man...build a big box on the upper end of the recommended spectrum and tune it to about 20Hz..other then that I have no suggestions..
  25. No problem man..i'm just stupid busy right now don't have much time for here.
