LIST OF ETHOS ENCLOSURES
I planned to brace it...just haven't 'drawn' it in. That's just throwing it together to get the measurements right. (While watching the Saints last night) Now I just got to get you paid off. Buying the Avalanche kind of slowed me down this week.

LIST OF ETHOS ENCLOSURES
OK- reworked it. 10 cubes, 106 inches of port, 51" port length, 22hz. 48" x 20" x 30". Decided a simple slot would be fine...and easier to build.

How hard is it to build a box?
I had home depot cut my MDF to my cut sheet specs. they were pretty close- but not perfect. I did clean up a fewedges- but I cound've built the box without cleaning them up 1/8" gaps...nothing to fill those with liquid nails. Though honestly- i ended up with about 200 bucks in my 6' box tuned to 33, for my 18. I spent 50 bucks Just on router bits. it isn't cheap...and we spent a solid day on it. And I'll say this- the Kaotic is a MUCH nicer box than I built.LOL

ethos 15s
For the Rms in T/S parameters, the "ms" is actually supposed to be written in subscript, i.e. Rms where for Root Mean Squared it's all written in standard capitalized script RMS or all lowercase rms. The problem is not everything can format subscript properly or for shorthand people are too lazy, so the Rms is written Rms.To make matters worse RMS power is actually an inaccurate term. RMS power was for whatever reason the term picked up by the audio world, but electrically and mathematically it doesn't exist and is a useless term and value. The term we should be using is average continuous power, Pavg because VRMS * IRMS = Pavg, not RMS power. RMS power doesn't exist. So in reality the RMS power figure every audio company states is an imaginary value since RMS power isn't a real electrical or meaningful term. Impious- you're posts always teach me something

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Any of the 'news' now a days just pisses me off. I try to avoid it. I feel every politician in Washington are crooked, and all sense of common sense has escaped politics in general. I am a libertarian(sp) I suppose- in the fact that other than infrastructure and military...the gov should't have any say in my life. Charlie Daniel's Simple Man about sums me up.LOL

Box Design Software
Sketchup took me about 5 hrs to design my first box....now after doing about 10 of them, I can do one in about 2 hrs(math and the actual sketch). Just play with it a bit..you'll get the hang of it.

LIST OF ETHOS ENCLOSURES
The sub stage in this one is just a basic single 15 ported box wrapped in carpet and bolted to the bed of the truck. The foldable panel will be removed via the few bolts that hold the hinge to the floor. A wooden panel will be made to go in its place with a woofer cutout to match up to the cut out in the box. Then the sub will be mounted to both the panel and enclosure. This will leave a few inches between the rear of the seat and the sub. My plan too...it will be triple baffled.

LIST OF ETHOS ENCLOSURES
MAN- i am sick to my stomach right now...just spent a couple hrs working up something....then close sketchup without saving it! I fell so dumb.LOL I did snip it first....I have the demensions wrote down- i can prolly redraw it pretty quick. I am a bit confused though. i just went straight to the caraudio.com port area calc, punched in 2 15's with 32 xmax. It gave me a port area of 146.xx". Worked that out to a 18.5 x 8" slot. Dropped that into the 12volt prot length calc, and got 72.xx" for 22 hz. So this is designed around that. 5^ft per sub, 148" of port, tuned to 22hz. Then I go back to the ethos spec thread, and see that you are recommending 52" or port area/per. Why is that so much less than the calculator suggested? I am thinking I should redraw it to 104" of port(roughly 18.5x6 for 2). Correct?

Hell Q- since you are bored.... If you had 50w x 20T x up to 48L, Subs and port forward. What would you do? We had talked about tuning to 22 for the flattest response...(IIRC)
