  1. I'm shipping it the way it was shipped to me. JUST brown paper covering the box.
  2. No sir it was mounted up on my fold down back seat. I heard it was bad to do that so i didn't wanna put it there.
  3. Fast like your replies! Thanks for helping out in such little time. You really are great at customer service. Thanks, Curt
  4. Thanks for the fast response. How long or what is the estimated time to get this pup back in business?
  5. Ugh... Ok, but you can wiggle it freely and i think that's what the problem is.
  6. Every time i start up my car, the sundown starts up but then goes straight into protect. I have the SAZ3K. I used an additional head unit to make sure it wasn't the signal. Without the RCAs plugged in and without the speaker wires plugged in it still did this. Here is a picture of the only thing i could find WRONG internally in the amp. Its also really loose when you go to touch it. Thanks for the help, Curt

When did you buy it and there is no contact number I believe. Don't worry also, it takes 3-5 business days to build your sub once payment is cleared so. If you ordered your sub last night, your payment still needs to be cleared before they can start the building process. They will email you a tracking number when the building process begins.
  8. They most likely took that from ca.com EDIT: They did: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137804
  9. Screenshot is better than nothing!!! Thanks man way to go
  10. That's what you need to do first Autozone doesnt know how to check alternators properly I called him today and only kept getting his answer machine. He wont be back until monday Monday is columbus day, would he still be open on this holiday?
  11. I didn't make this thread for you to flame my signature. This signature was a joke started up on here maybe 3 or 4 months ago. I don't give a flying fuck what you think. I know DD is the most winning sub and respect that. But that isn't why I did that. NOW if you wanna talk about why I did this then PM me, until then STFU and GTFO if you have no input on what the real discussion is about. Thank you, Curt
  12. Anyone besides me still waiting for diablos response?
  13. The belt was what we were playing with the most. We made it as tight as possible, revved the engine and if the alt made a squeeky noise, we would go back and tighten it more. And I believe the belt had enough room for a nice fit.
  14. I'll give him a call tomorrow before I run into work tomorrow. Thanks for all the replies, Goodnight Curt
  15. Lol your guess is as good if not better than mine dude. I haven't worked with a H/O alternator before.
  16. I called him today and only kept getting his answer machine.
  17. Grounds are fine, everything is plugged in right. I'm still confused myself with everything.
  18. Hey I wanted to know if I could get some help for a friend. His car is a 98 Toyota Avalon and he recently bought a 250amp mechman alternator. He switched out his old alt for his new alt(Everything on the new alternator is a plug and play), revved the engine made some minor positioning adjustments to get rid of the squeeky loose noise. We went to a bank to get some money for my brothers install he did. The battery was dead for some reason. So we thought maybe the remote wire for the subs was touching the power wire while in the bank for so long. That wasn't the case. Anyways we got a jump and headed to a auto performance shop to put my brothers new muffler on. Well on the way there the car was acting funny. Lights that should be off were on (ABS lights, Trac OFF, Airbags). The windows went down so slow. The head unit was shutting off and on repeatedly. So we are parked at the auto shop and I told my friend to see if the battery is dead. Well low and behold it is. I get a DMM out from the shop, check the voltage of the battery, its at 8volts!!!!!!! I was pissing my pants from this, then i hooked the DMM to the alt, and the alt power and a ground, well the alt was also at 8volts!!!! What the hell? We may think he got a defective alternator, And i am strongly thinking about not getting one now. Anyone wanna help me help my friend with this kind of a big deal problem? Thanks much appreciated, Curt

You guys should really save your money up. I have been saving since January and I have my 500 dollar sub, 750 dollar amp, 300 dollar battery (d3100) and I'm currently on hold with the alt because I'm saving for some Christmas gifts and personal items as well. If its time you don't have, then I see price being an issue. But if your going to get some high quality sound equipment, you mine as well get the best that will keep YOU happy and YOUR system happy as well.
  20. thats 2 powermaster 3100s + whatever up front = 250+ amp/h
  21. There is a Tsunami Digital Volt Meter that comes with a digital volt meter with 4 fuse check lights to make sure your fuses are working without looking to see if they blew or not. For 35 dollars, its not bad. Curt
  22. They were really amazing pictures and I wish that I could travel to places like that near me. Here is a website full of high resolution pictures equivalent to bigjons http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/downloads/date/any/
  23. Also this kid needs to get punched in the face to wake him up from his little fantasy land or he needs to grow up real quick. I would expect this kid on ca.com but not here.
