  1. new car. cruisin' for grannys if anyone want to come lol
  2. model them against your current woofer and box. otherwise you're just fucking around wasting money. figure out if you can fit a 15 or a pair of 12s.
  3. Duh. 12 X 2 = 24. woh, easy there on the multiplication. 12 + 12 = 24
  4. what? why? From Fi:Q 12 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .8-1.5 cubic feet of volume. Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 28-33Hz (I personally think that a 32 Hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving). Use 12-16 square inches of vent area per one cubic foot of enclosure volume. read your sentence that I pointed out. you're implied relationship is a false
  5. is this some kind of ms8 logic 7 install? i assume its not, in which case they're hurting the install quite severely.
  6. ya.. what's going on in the back seat?
  7. probably wont fit a exodus anarchy then. i'm not familiar with woofer/tweeter 2 way set ups. i've only done full range/midbass and a 3 way so i'm not sure what drivers would be best. i wonder if those vifa ring radiators would work...
  8. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1EF0F49598 so its something like this? 1v out is borderline low and you have to power both units with 5v. what if they add noise to the system? fuck that. run some rcas and be done with it.
  9. think i might be buying 01 buick century. full on granny car but should be pretty reliable. 47k miles chrome rims and white walls baby
  10. post some specs. i'm very doubtful. if you're already running big fucking power wire and speaker wire then why would one or two rca's be a hassle?
  11. dont make shit complicated. just run some 5 dollar rca's
  12. tuning to 31 hz will be fine. and if you haven't modeled a sub before, you would see that one or two hz in either direction doesn't change much anyways.
  13. a sub playing below tuning can be dangerous but that's why you set the subsonic filter. edit: understand that tuning below fs and a subwoofer reproducing frequencies below tuning are two different things. i was simply calling out cloud because he was making thing unnecessarily complicated and probably confusing you.
  14. its done all the time in home theater systems. you shouldn't tune that low in car audio because most music doesn't go that low. maybe if every single song you listen to is full of sub 30hz stuff then consider tuning lower otherwise dont bother. the recommended enclosure specs from the manufacturer should be a fine place to start.
  15. i run my subs IB (infinite baffle) so its mainly for plugging holes.
  16. to cloud77's comment about tuning below Fs which i quoted.
  17. less noise is more bass i've great stuffed my trunk lid and rear deck as well lol.
  18. limited to small format tweeter and 6-7" midrange. no large formats, 3" full ranger, etc? whats the mounting depth for the mid.
  19. download winisd, read a how-to guide, and model the subs. will it model how the subwoofers will sound in the car? no (doesn't acount for cabin gain), but you can at least compare sub vs sub.
  20. please stop lol. this is crazy. Sq refers to recreating music accurate to the source material. that's it. you're goals dont give a shit about SQ. You're looking for the loudest sub that doesn't sound like shit.
